These are a list of useful links to sites on the internet that helped with my web site:

http://www.accura.co.uk/ This site helped me to find out what automotive parts steel was used for.
This is a copy of the e-mail I sent out to steel companies for information:
Dear Sir/Madam, I am a A-Level student studying physics, chemistry, biology and maths at college. For my main physics project I have to complete a web-site on why a material is suitable for something it is used for. I have chosen to investigate why steel is suitable in the manufacture of car bodies. Please could you send me any information that you feel would be relevant.
Many Thanks
Alex Willcocks
Unfortunately, I only received one reply and the information was irrelevant.

These are a list of useful books and CD-ROMs that helped with my web site:
Encarta 1999 CD-ROM by Microsoft. This CD-ROM provided me with a lot of the information on the environmental impacts of steel production and how they have changed over the past decade. It also helped me with information on the different types of steel production and I got the three pictures at the bottom of the first page from it.
Advance Physics AS text book edited by Jon Ogborn and Mary Whitehouse and Advance Physics AS 2000 CD-ROM edited by Ian Lawrence and Mary Whitehouse The CD-ROM provided me with the information for the table on page 2. The text book provided me with information and understanding on different scientific language.
Salters Advance Chemistry Chemical Storylines A-Level text book by George Burton, John Holman, John Lazonby, Gwen Pilling and David Waddington. This book provided me with information on steel production, elements added to steel and environmental impacts of steel production.
