My name is Gharr and you are welcome to find out more about me. I am a citizen of Australia and love mowing the lawn and cooking quiches (an egg based dish) and it is for this reason that I feel I am more then qualified in talking about tensor calculus and string theory. My Very Own Message
I am interested in how to promote my web site for free
So far I have been advised that you have to pay to have a web site promoted.
The other method is to put metadata in your HTML code and promote your web site manually if you can find the location on the search engines front page. Search engines like yahoo have a place called submit, where you can try and get your web page noticed.
I am looking for 2 days or more work in engineering or related field that builds on my existing skills. I have been thinking of even starting a business
Apart from the fact that I have no money to start a business or good ideas on how to start a business with no money there is really nothing stopping me.
I have designed a simple program I call a stepping stage that can test pure C++ code before all the graphics are added and the final platform is chosen Unix, Dos, Windows, Linux and so on.
Originally designed for games I wanted to design, the stepping stage can also be used for any code you are developing. I provide a simple text display part as well as a save data to disk and load data to disk. My display is set into 3 sections:
- small left side bar
- main screen
- far right side bar
The display can be altered to have a whole screen display.
All information for the display can be loaded before it is sent to the screen using a separate data page for text alteration or you can directly alter the screen contents.
Saving and retrieving data is quite simple but does require you to remember in what order you saved the date if you used mixed data types.
The Future
I believe in the distant future the human race will cease to exist as our bodies evolve into some other form.
I have been wondering what would happen if we and other races in this universe expanded to every corner of the universe. What would be the next stage of social evolution in such a massive collection of societies of intelligent beings. I love science fiction and could think of several interesting senarios.
Politics
I get the feeling the government of Australia is generating a bunch of oxymoron's for job seekers because it has no idea what it is doing with the countries future.
I have talked to some people and they suggest it is a strategy to get rid of our rights and reduce wages. That still sounds to me like another way to say that the government is without a plan or clue as what to do with this fine nation.
Others suggest that we should not make negative comments about the government because it is not constructive. I suggest that the government should have thought about that before they issued a bunch of oxymoron's.
Finally, some people suggest that the government can do anything it likes and not take responsibility for it. They further suggest that schools and businesses can do much of the same. The only thing I can take from that is that the whole ruddy country has no idea where it is heading. I mean if no one wants to take responsibility for their action that is a sign of really bad management in my book.
I am wondering if it is possible to work on the internet and earn money using the existing skill set I have or building on that skill set.
No current worthwhile suggestion about this topic as yet.
Web site design
It is obvious I am interested in making my own web sites as I have produced this one and others. I am currently giving away free web sites to see how people use such sites. The sites I am giving away are basically one page web sites.
I use FrontPage as a basis for web page design. FrontPage makes it very easy to produce web pages.
Electronics
I like to play around with electronics design. Since I have seen little demand for such skills, I have not advanced much in this area. Still electronics and mathematics are of some interest to me. I might put in a topic here.
Business Models
A engineer is interested in economics, law, politics, machinery, workers and subcontractors as well as the customer. It is then strange while engineers are not better trained in marketing aspects of business.
Business models is sort of a general guide line of how to run a business and involves the above topics and several sub topics of the above. Since I lack money and I solid idea of what would be profitable to do, my discussion can go no further at the moment.
