| Watches Please dont be fooled by the TAG HEUER or GUCCI or OMEGA branded watches on many of the KL residents wrists. Its not a symbol of wealth, its a symbol of KL-ites' desperation to be fashionable on a very tight budget. Bad idea? Not so. Petaling Street offers a variety of branded watches from as low as RM20. Dont look at the price tags, just start your bargain at RM20 even though the tag shows RM125 or RM150. Of course they will use all sorts of tactics to settle on a higher price. Eg: Whispering (as if he is offering you lesser price), using a calculator to show price, demonstrating certain "unique" features, modelling (Im using it too, you know), laughing as though you are being ridiculous etc.etc. Be firm, start at RM20 and raise it by RM1. In 15 minutes you might walk away with a TAG on your wrist! Good Luck. (contributed by Azuwah, KL) |
