| my thoughts...exactly i'd like to follow his path to success in the music industry, from his humble beginnings to the present. it is a tough & rough road but he's on the right track. some people still think he's the "black sheep" among the idols. if only they knew how genuine & wonderful he is inside. like what he said before, he'd like to be remembered as the idol that everyone loved. these idols have received tons of gifts from fans & i just wonder what things they have received & where do they store them while on tour? do they bring it with them to each city they visit? plus, what's the most interesting or unusual gift he had ever received? american idol gets down to 12 idols but then why do they still cut down the last 2 & not include them in the tour? is it too much to add 2 more? if so, then they should just have 10 idols all the way through. i will never get tired of watching the "disco theme" of this competition. scott was so loveable doing his john travolta - saturday night fever moves. luther vandross did a lot of oldies revival in his album, i think scott should do too. as i mentioned earlier, i'd love to hear his rendition of "me & mrs jones" another one maybe his version of "feel so good" by chuck mangione. i'd love to hear scott play the trumpet. i think, if you're a new artist & people don't know much about you, you try to give them a sample of some tunes that they're familiar with vs all new materials cuz you won't know if people will like it or not. there's this humble story about this filipino girl who was very poor & she helped her family by selling water to train passengers in her hometown. this was in the 60s. anyway, this kid had a golden voice & entered a local singing contest & eventually became a huge celebrity in the entertainment industry as a singer. she was also teamed up with another heartthrob to do several musical movies & later became a highly acclaimed actress & movie producer. while all this was happening she still maintained her musical variety tv show that ran for almost 20 yrs. the name of her tv show was "superstar." scott, have you ever seen the movie "that thing you do?" it reminds me a lot about all the idols experience on the road - stress, fatigue excitement, pressure, loneliness, fun times & so on. there's nothing you can't accomplish if you set your mind to it. always remember nike's logo....just do it! back home |
