"Voices from the Past" by Kaye England

Kaye will share many of the quilts based on her books, Voices of the Past,
Volumes I and II, as well as many wonderful stories of how she gathered the
information. Learn about the women in the book and how their issues and
challenges relate to us today.
"Stitched Stories" by Janet Ghio
Tuesday, October 21, 2003, 7:00 P.M.
Janet will be presenting a trunk show of her work and take us through the
evolution of her pieces. Her artwork reflects the whimsical, magical, and spiritual
parts of herself. Her work is machine and hand stitched, embroidered with silk
and metallic threads, quilted and embellished with lots of beads and charms, and
many of the fabrics she uses in her quilts she has hand dyed.
Workshops
"RMS Titanic" by Kaye England
Saturday, October 4, 2003, 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
This is a new workshop developed by Kaye. The quilt for this workshop will use
the same block that created the tile design in the main ballroom floor of the
Titanic. Cost: $45

"Feathered Star"
Members of Circle in the Square Quilters have created a beautiful quilt named "Feathered Star." The quilt will be displayed as part of the exhibition. Tickets can be purchased at the University City Public Library counter or from members of The Historical Society of University City or Circle in the Square Quilters. The cost is $1 per ticket or $5 for 6 tickets. The drawing for the quilt is Sunday, November 2, 2003.
