1997 was a very busy year, seeing Kevin enter nine races at three different venues. Again, he was very successful. The first venue was the North West 200, where he entered the Mobil Superbike Race and finished in 28th place. He also entered the Coleraine Production race and in this, he finished 26th. Considering Kevin had neither ridden the bike nor the circuit before, these results were very encouraging.

Kevin went on to enter the TT races in the Formula One class, the Production class and the 400cc class. Results were very encouraging, even though dogged by mechanical problems in the production race. In the Formula One class, despite running out of fuel and having to push the final two miles, he finished in 36th position. In the 400cc class, Kevin finished in 10th position.

Since 1998, Kevin has ridden every year in the TT on a variety of machiens. He has also been competing in many Southern 100 races and Jurby Airfield meetings also.
