Kevin "Ago" Murphy was born in 1958 and raised in Dublin, Ireland. After a brief spell of life in the busy city of London, Kevin decided to make his home on the tranquil Isle of Man, home of the TT Races.

Kevin is now training hard for the present season, as he knows the amount of physical strength it takes to be a successful racer. Kevin commenced racing in 1978 (21 years ago), competing in various road racing events in Ireland.

In 1981, Kevin became the Formula 2 and 3 Irish Hill Climb and Sprints champion, won the Formula 3 race at Phoenix Park and secured several other wins at Mondello Park.

In 1982, Kevin went on to win the Formula 3 National Racing Championship and secured several more wins at Mondello Park.

1983 proved to be a lean year, due to lack of funds, but Kevin still managed to win the Dublin University Speed Trials, as well as a 2nd at the Carrick Road Race Circuit.

1984 was Kevin's first season with any sort of major assistance from sponsors and it really paid off. He had a 1st in Cruagha Hill Climb, along with a 1st in the Production class at Turvey Sprint. After the above successes, Kevin was involved in a very bad accident and decided to quit racing for a while.
