Irish Ago Racing TT Diary 2006 28th May 2006 Hi all. We had our first practice laps for TT 06 last night. It was my first time on the 600 since it has been tuned, and to say the least, it's a very different machine to the one I rode last year, so it looks like I will have to learn how to ride it all over again. So let's see... to start with, we had a very clear night except for sun glare on the run to Ballacraine, very strong winds on the mountain and damp patches here and there. I decided to take it easy from the off so I could get used to the extra power on tap. I had a few moments on the first lap; it shook its head in Kirk Michael and on the run to Ramsey, but I decided to get it out of my head and keep my mind on the job. I managed to lap in 23:00:84 on the first lap at a speed of 98.36mph, and on the second I went a wee bit quicker at 21:56:92 at a speed of 103.141mph, which I was very happy with. So, a few little adjustments to be made before tomorrow night. Will update the diary on Tuesday after tomorrow night's practice.
