Welcome one and all to the Irish Ago Racing website for the 2007 season. It has been quite a while since the site was updated, so I thought it was about time. A little about us: Well, I'm Kevin "Ago" Murphy, and I have been racing bikes for almost 30 years. The idea for setting up the Irish Ago Racing Team was made nearly 10 years ago, amongst a few close friends and myself, to bring the team to the attention of many sponsorship opportunities out in the great wide world, but most of all it was to bring back the enjoyment of the sport to myself and my friends. The team is changing all the time, and as time goes by I hope to bring onboard a newcomer to the sport and watch them grow as a rider and progress in this great sport. For the 2007 season, our main aim is to enjoy our racing and compete in the 100th year of the TT Races here on the Isle of Man, with British and American machinery. It is nearly 30 years since an American manufacturer has taken part, that being Harley Davidson. For us, we have chosen to enter a Buell XB12X in the Senior Race (that is of course in the hope our entry is accepted) and a Triumph Daytona 600 in the Junior. Other than that, I will be racing at every Andreas meeting on a Honda CB400 Hyper V-Tec, both road and airfield, so watch this space for race reports after each meeting. I hope you enjoy surfing my site and please feel free to contact us or sign the guestbook at any time. We race, we ride, we understand. All the best, Kevin Ago Murphy |
