When you're 15, haven't got a license, and you haven't got a job, owning your own car is pretty damn impressive. The fact that my dad paid for it.... ah well. It was May 1997, and mum picked me up from school to take me to check out this car that dad had had come in as a trade in.
We got there, and lets just say the best part about the car was the lack of rust, but it had potential. At first the idea of a Gemini was a little off putting, the fact it was a wagon worse.
After thought, it was decided to buy the thing, and hey, after all it was a car. Any one who has ever owned a Gemini will tell you one thing, they grow on you. I came to love the shape, the poor build quality, bullshit wiring and even the fact that it was only a 4 cylinder.
There was always going to be a rebuld. You know, the usual tidy up, quick trim fix and a cheap set of rims. As it always happens, things got carried away...... |
