Freddie Mercury - A True star, a legend during his own lifetime.
Who was the man behind the mask, was he something more rather than the flamboyant frontman of Queen? I wish I had the real answer, but I never knew him, never met him, never saw him in real life. Yet when I first read about him and watched his music videos and heard his music, I found him charismatic, gorgeous, a musical genius, something new and vivid in the rock world. A man of many faces, a show without an ending a mystery, a star in heaven.
After ten years he is still missed by so many people. I grieve him deeply, though I never knew him, though I never met him, although I believe a part of me did that sad day in November 1991.
