The choice of Warren Beatty - a man with a lot to answer for.The lounge suit reached the height of its popularity with the release of Warren Beatty�s film, Shampoo. Every man wanted to be a Casanova lounge lizard. Resurrected after 200 years in the wilderness in a range of garish patterns and colours, the lounge suit promised elegance and comfort. But it soon became synonymous with sleaze. Eventually, the only people to be found wearing them were middle-aged men inhabiting Soho strip clubs. Certain restaurants and businesses even banned them for being too tacky. |
