| Heat oil in soup pot. Add chicken cubes and brown well. Add celery and onion. Saute until onion is golden. Add water and the rest of the soup ingredients. Bring to a boil and cook until carrots and potatoes are soft all the way through. Mix 3 T flour in 1/2 C water so there are no lumps. Add to soup and stir well. Cook until the soup thickens ( about 5 minutes ). Preheat oven to 220C Let cool to room temperature. Pour into pie crusts, cover with pie lid and brush with 1 egg diluted with 2 T water. Bake until the crusts are nicely browned. NOTES; This one's for you, Eloy! :-) |
