CHOCOLATE PILLOWS
1 Sweetdough Recipe
Oil for deep frying
100gm. ( 3.5 ounces ) bittersweet chocolate
1 C whipping cream ( unwhipped )
2 t powdered sugar
1/4 C milk
2 T brandy
2 T flour
Candy sprinkles
Prepare Sweetdough Recipe. Let rise once.

Roll out the dough into 3/4" square. Cut strips into 1 1/2" thickness and about 4" in length. Separate so that there is a 1 1/2" between each side for rising.

Let rise uncovered until doubled in bulk ( about 1/2-3/4 hour ).

Lift each one with a spatula and place upside-down in hot oil. Flip right away and fry until golden brown. Flip to fry the other side. Fit as many into the frying pot as possible. Drain on paper towels.

In a sauce pan heat the whipping cream on low heat with the chocolate and sugar, stirring constantly until all of the chocolate is melted and there are no lumps.

In a cup, mix the flour into the milk and brandy. Always mix the dry into the liquid ingredients. Mix well so there are no lumps. Pour into hot cream mixture and stir constantly for 3 minutes on low heat until thick.

Turn the heat off but continue stirring every other minute until cooled and there are no lumps. Spread over each "pillow" and decorate with candies if desired.
