My 'auntie' Flix holds me shortly after I was born. I am blessed with this friend, she stayed with me all through the labour and the birth.
My sister lovingly holds me in her arms. This experience broke both our hearts. We still miss him today.

Mummy comes to say goodbye. (left)
This was the last time I visited the hospital to see Kyle after I had left him. He was being taken to the undertakers after this and I would never see him again. It was so painful to leave him there. In many ways when they took him to the undertakers, they also took my heart with them to be cremated too.

When Kyle was born, I bathed him, kissed him (above), wrapped him in a towel.....
.... and then I dressed him in some clothes I had bought for his passing and his cremation
Kyle's cleft palate and hair lip are more obvious here. I was very scared at how he would look while I carried him. Some babies born with Patau's syndrome can be born with no eyes, or 'empty' sockets where eyes should have been. I did not know what to expect.
