Lone Hearts
Flame and Falcon's Story
Revenge
Flame's eyes flickered open to see Falcon balanced on his elbow staring down at her.
"Morning." He kissed her lips. And smiled down at her.
"Morning." She kissed him back. "What time is it?"
"It's only Nine."
"Nine O'clock? I should have been home age's ago." She pulled herself up in bed.
"Relax. I'm sure the others can manage without you. Besides they don't need you to fight so there's no reason for you to hurry back." She stared at him unable to find another excuse to leave. She didn't really want to leave him but she was worried.
"Okay what's wrong?" Falcon asked a few minutes later his eyes searching hers. His fingers lightly smoothing a stray auburn hair from her cheek.
"What do you mean?"
"Flame I've known you all my life. I can tell when something's troubling you."
"It's erm ..." She pleated the bed cover nervously. "We didn't use anything."
"What?" He stared at her confusion in his eyes.
"We didn't use anything, to stop me getting pregnant. I mean what if I am?" She bit her bottom lip. Saying it out loud especially to Falcon made it more real.
"It's okay." He kept his voice, soft and low, trying to reassure her. He felt a strange feeling in his belly at the thought of Flame pregnant with his child. Did he want that? He shook his head at himself.
"How can it be? If I am pregnant how can I look after a baby? I can barley look after myself."
"Firstly it wouldn't just be you bringing up the baby. If there is a baby it'll be ours. I've got a job it's not much but it's enough to get us by until I finish university then I can start earning some real money."
"No. It wouldn't be fair on anyone." She pulled away from him, separating her clothes from his. And quickly began to dress.
"Sky and Hawk manage and they've never been happier." It was true he thought. They loved each other and their little girl. It wouldn't have mattered to them if they had nowhere to live as long as they had each other.
"They have no choice. We do."
"What are you saying? That if you are pregnant you'd get rid of it?" He stood now, staring at her as she pinned her hair in a bun at the nape of her neck. "You'd kill our baby?" He grabbed her arm and slightly shook her. "Answer me." He demanded.
"Yes. No. I don't know." She yelled at him, struggling to free herself, tears now streaming down her cheeks. The last thing she wanted was to argue with Falcon, especially over something that might not even exist.
"So what? You were just gonna keep quiet and if you were pregnant, you were going to murder our child?"
"No. Falcon please I don't know. I just don't know." She slumped on the bed burying her head in her hands. He sat beside her. His arms tightening around her, drawing her against him.
"Hey, come here. I'm sorry." He lightly kissed her forehead. She was scared and he couldn't blame her. "We'll do a test in a couple of weeks. And if you are pregnant  we'll discuss it then. In the mean time I'll sort out the protection okay?" She nodded and snuggled closer against his chest.
"You have to promise me something." He said quietly. "If you do turn out to be pregnant, you have to promise me you wont get rid of it." She turned to face him.
"I promise. I didn't mean what I said, and I didn't want to hurt you. It's just I've never had anyone need me before. And a baby will be totally dependent on me."
"On us." He corrected. He realised that he wanted a baby more than he'd ever wanted anything in his life. No. He corrected he wanted his and Flame's baby. She'd make a good mother he new she would.

Flame eagerly watched from behind a tall tree. Don strolled into the tall orphanage. She saw a sudden flash of Lola then Tira, and the fear, the helplessness she'd seen on both of their face's. She felt sorry for his latest victim who she was certain he'd already chosen. Well he wasn't going to her hurt anyone. Not tonight anyway.
Flame hurried down the bank, to the wire fence. Entering through a whole she found, wishing she'd found it a couple of weeks before. She dodged security cameras and finally reached a small locked metal box, that was firmly placed on the outside wall. Flame pulled a small key from her jacket pocket. She managed to get hold of a key and imprint it from one of the guards a few days before.
Flame opened the box to find 5 small switches. 1 opened the main doors, 1 opened the staff rooms. And 2 opened the rooms that held the orphans. The final was to sound the fire alarm. Swiftly she flicked all of the switches except the ones to the staff rooms, she turned the key next to the switch automatically locking the staff members inside. She closed the box locking it, and jamming the key in the lock. She hurried back through the whole in the fence.
She watched from behind the tree as the orphans poured out of the building. The fire alarm echoing. She watched as 3 staff members followed. She scanned their face's and to her relief he wasn't one of them.
Flame arrived back at the boarding school to find the gang preparing for the fight that was due to start in a few hours. She went straight up to Sky's room. She'd agreed to baby sit for her though she wished she hadn't.
"Hi Flame." Sky greeted her with a huge smile. She was sitting on her bed. Her attention turned back to her daughter who was smiling up at her, her little fingers closing around Sky's loose hair.
"You're brilliant with her."
"It comes naturally. At first I was so scared when I found out I was pregnant. I was an only child and I hadn't a clue how to look after a baby. But Hawk helped. Most guys would have run a mile but not Hawk. When you find some one as special as he is to me. You don't let them go." She kissed her baby daughter hand. "Anyway I best get moving. Tara and the kids are down stairs watching Lola and Zack teach Tira and Jesse how to fight. You can take her down their. Tara knows where all her things are kept." Sky lifted her 3 month old daughter in her arms. "Mummy's gotta go sweat heart. Be good for your aunt Flame." She kissed her daughters forehead and handed her to Flame.
"Looks like it's just the two of us then bubs." She lowered herself on the edge of the bed and lifted a book from the bedside table. "The big day." She began reading the story until she finished the five pages. She stood then. "Why don't we go and see what your aunts and uncles are doing?"
Flame smiled at Tara, Brie and the twin girls who sat in the corner of the huge hall watching Lola and Tira fight and Zack and Jesse.
"Hey Flame." .
"How are they doing?" She asked seating herself beside Tally, the younger of the twins.
"Really good there fast learners although Jesse seems a little distracted." Tara grinned her attention still on Zack and Jesse.
"Here take Ember." Flame gently handed Ember to Tara who had just placed her sleeping daughter in a small baby basket.
Flame walked over to where the four of them stood.
"Let's see what you've learned. Why don't you go first." She turned to Lola and Tira who were only to happy to demonstrate what Tira had learned. Lola through her fist at Tira who swiftly lifted her arm blocking the punch.
"Good. But when you're blocking try to kick the back of your opponents knee. It'll bring them to the ground giving you the advantage."
Flame stood face to face with Lola. As Lola delivered the first punch Flame swiftly blocked it with her arm, then swung her foot hitting the back of Lola's knee bringing her to the ground.
Sky wandered into her room a few hours later, Hawk fussing over a long cut on her arm. Flame sat on the bed awaiting her and Hawk's arrival.
"Looks nasty." She stood to great them.
"It's not that bad."
"How'd the fight go?" She asked changing the subject. She saw the worry in Hawk's eyes and wondered if he'd try and ban Sky from ever leaving their room.
"It went great they've agreed to back of our turf." Sky announced proudly.
"That's great." She forced a smile her mind not really concentrating on Sky and Hawk. "Ember's asleep she went a few minutes ago." Flame grinned at the little girl only this time she didn't have to force her smile.
Flame slumped on her bed, a small frown across her lips. She couldn't forget the hurt look on Falcon's face when she said she wasn't sure she'd keep their baby if she did turn out to be pregnant. The truth was she couldn't kill a child, especially not Falcon's child. In away she wished she was pregnant, but it wouldn't be fair on Falcon he had his future at university to think of.

Flame smiled at Falcon she'd missed him this last two weeks.
"Hi." She smiled brightly longing to throw herself at him, and kiss him until they were both breathless with it.
"Hey, how are you?" Falcon moved closer to her, relieved that she'd come round. He'd been going out of his mind desperate to see her. He'd contemplated going to the boarding school, but he hadn't been sure of his welcome.
"I'm fine. Falcon. I've missed you this past two weeks. I don't wont us to fight anymore, or waste anymore time." Their she'd said it. She watched him, to her relief he smiled and opened his arms. She walked into them, her own wrapping about his strong back.
"I've missed you too." He placed a kiss on her forehead.
Flame stood nervously outside Falcon's door just over a week later.
"Hi." Falcon smiled, she looked as scared as he felt.
"Hi." She wasn't sure what to say or do. He bent his head and lightly kissed her cheek.
"It'll be okay, what ever the result."
Falcon handed Flame a small box inside contained a pregnancy test. She'd been too scared to get it herself so she asked Falcon.
"I've read the instructions. If it's a blue line you're pregnant other wise your not." She stared down at the unopened box.
"So simple right? Then why is it so hard for me to do this?" She didn't expect him to answer. What could he say? He must be as scared as she was though it wasn't showing. "Falcon?" She looked up at him. He saw the fear in her emerald eyes. "Can I have a hug? I really need you to be my friend right now."
"Come here." He said softly, his arms sliding around her waste, drawing her against him, his arms tightening around her back. He moved back slightly to look at her face.
"I'm here for you. It'll be okay."
Flame stared down at the test that was turned upside down on the bedside table. She felt Falcon's strong hand close around hers. "Do you want me to look?" He asked softly.
"Yeah." She nodded her hand tightening around his. She watched as he lifted up the test and turned it over.
"Well?" She asked struggling to keep her voice normal.
"You're not pregnant." He keep his voice low, his expression unreadable. He didn't want her to see how disappointed he was.
"I'm sorry." Falcon looked at her then.
He saw the tears roll down her burning cheeks. He was surprised. She hadn't wanted a baby. Had she?
"What's wrong? I thought you'd be relieved." He pulled her against him, his arms tightening around her.
"I know you wanted a baby. And if I'm truthful I did too. Not at first but after seeing Ember, looking after her. And then little Brie. It made me want to be a mum. I wanted a child, your child. I love you Falcon. And if Tara can manage on her own, I know we could've managed together."
"Do you know how much I needed to hear that?"
"I have to go I promised Lola and Tira I'd help them with something. I'll come round later." She brushed her lips to his. Then hurried from his room.

Tira, Lola and Flame gathered by the derelict buildings it was getting dark and they new he'd be home.
"It's pay back time." Lola said hatred filling her usually soft voice. She'd wanted revenge for so long now.
"Tira wait here if we don't signal to you within five minutes then fetch the rest of the gang." Flame ordered the young women.
Lola silently pushed open the old front door. He wasn't in the hall. They entered the old dirt filled house. Lola headed down the long hall way Flame closely behind her. Lola turned the corner it to what she was sure, must be the living room. She felt a vicious pair of hands, grabbing her  by the shoulders, jerking into the room. She was terrified.
"Don't move!" It was Don Flame saw. He held Lola close against him a gun aimed at her head. Flame froze her eyes on Lola. She could see the terror in her now pale blue eyes and new it wasn't the gun she feared.
"Let her go." Flame demanded trying to stall for time.
"Why would I want to do that?" He pressed the gun closer to Lola's head. "I know you. You're one of those who escaped a while back. I also remember this beautiful women." He stroked his hand over Lola's cheek. He pulled Lola to him, backing up to the wall. He pulled a pair of handcuffs from his pocket and attached Lola to a pipe nailed into the wall.
He slowly moved towards Flame. She felt afraid suddenly. She turned and ran towards the door, desperate to delay him further. One thing was certain, she wouldn't leave Lola with him again. His hand slammed the door shut before she could get to it. He roughly grabbed Flame's wrists and through her against the side wall. She struggled with him screaming as loud as she could, as he pressed his hard body against her.
Lola pulled as hard as she could trying desperately to release herself from her confining hand cuffs.
He held Flame's wrists in one hand and pinned them to the wall above her, his other hand urgently tugging at her clothes.
Suddenly the door flew open. Don paid no attention, his hand still tugging at Flame's trousers. Falcon, Hawk and Sky stood in front of the others. Falcon felt his rage consuming him when he saw Flame pinned against the wall. He rushed over to them his heart racing, as he plunged his fist into the mans stomach. Don fell to the ground his arms wrapped around his stomach.
"Falcon." Flame yelled throwing herself against him, her arms tightening around his shoulders.
"Are you allright?" Falcon's hands moved to her shoulders.
"Yeah." Flame managed. She was shaking Falcon realised and held her tighter to him.
Rea and Mitch reached Lola setting her free from her cuffs. Tira stood in front of Don as he began to stand.
"You evil bastard." She screamed bringing her knee to his groin. Lola reached them her fist clenched as she flung it into his face. He fell to the floor clutching his groin.
"Hurry guys come on." Hawk watched each member from the house. He could hear the police sirens and hurried after the others. Somehow he didn't think Don would tell the cops who'd beat him up. Besides when Lola and Tira made there statements with Julia present to the police then he wouldn't hurt anyone else again.

"Flame sweat heart. What happened to you?" Julia greeted her and Falcon in the living room. Falcon hadn't expected her back for another week at least. She saw the bruises on Flame's wrists, and the cut on her lip, she also saw that she was shaking and felt immediately concerned.
"A fight that's all." Flame said abruptly.  Julia didn't say anything more it wouldn't do any good any way. Flame might tell her if she asked enough, but Falcon looked ready to kill if she tried.
"Come on, let's get you checked out. My equipment's upstairs."
Nearly two hours had passed. Falcon sat on the edge of the bed staring down at Flame who was fast asleep. He lightly brushed a stray hair from her cheek. Her eyes flickered open staring up at him.
"Where's Julia?" She asked pulling herself up against the soft pillows.
"She's taken your bloods to the lab. Your blood pressure was high and she didn't want to take any chances." He ran his fingers over the newly formed bruise on her jaw. "Why did you do it Flame?"
"I had to for Lola and Tira and every other girl he's ever hurt. He'll be sent down with there statements and the video evidence from the orphanage. He wont be able to hurt any one for a long time."
"Don't ever do anything like that again." He hugged her to him.
"I promise."
Falcon stood as Julia entered the room his eyes on his mothers unreadable expression.
"Falcon I need to talk to Flame alone." Julia glanced at the worried expression on her sons face. "It's okay, it's nothing serious." She reassured him. He nodded to Flame and left the room closing the door behind him.
Julia sat on the edge of the bed looking at Flame.
"You're making me nervous. What's wrong?"
"I don't know if you know or not sweat heart but you're pregnant." Julia saw the genuine shock in Flame's emerald eyes. She had no idea if this was good or bad news.    Falcon stood as Julia entered the room his eyes on his mothers unreadable expression.

"I can't be. Me and Falcon we did a test. It was negative."
"The tests aren't always accurate sweetheart. Especially in the early weeks of pregnancy."
"I'm sorry Julia you must be disappointed in us."
"No not at all. But the question is do you both want this baby? I take it you've discussed it."
"Yeah, we do." Flame smiled biting her lip. Or at least she hoped Falcon still did.
"I'm here for both of you remember that." Julia hugged Flame then stood. "I'll send Falcon in."
Falcon waited a few minutes before he entered the room. His eyes immediately fell on Flame who was now sitting on the edge of the bed staring up at him.
"What did mum want to see you about?" He sat beside her concern in his dark eyes. She turned to face him. Nervously she pleated the material of her skirt.
"Falcon Julia did some tests." She paused looking up at him. "I'm pregnant. The test was wrong." She took a deep breath unsure of how he'd react. A small smile crossed his lips.
"You're okay with this aren't you?" He asked taking her hand in his.
"Yeah." She grinned, Wrapping her arms around his neck.

Flame stood staring at the amazing view from the roof of the boarding school. She placed her hand on her swollen stomach feeling a strong kick and smiled. She'd only been pregnant for seven months but it seemed like she'd waited for this child all her life.
She'd kept off the streets at night, and only gone out with Julia or Falcon for short periods of time. She still wasn't going to chance getting caught. Not with her child growing inside her. She hadn't even had a scan, she didn't want to risk someone from the hospital working out that she was nearly 17 and had no family. That wasn't true she thought, Falcon, Julia, Josh, the baby and the gang were her family. She also had her uncle her legal guardian. Julia was doing her best to trace him, but so far he had no idea that his sister and brother in law had died, nearly three years before or that he was Flame's legal guardian.
Falcon had been desperate for her to move in with him, and Julia but she wasn't sure if she wanted to leave the gang just yet. The boarding school had been her home for over two years the others were like her family. She new she'd have to leave when the baby was born but she wasn't sure she was ready just yet.
"Hi." She heard from behind her and quickly spun around to see Sky standing in front of her.
"Oh hey."
"Do you wanna talk about it? There's obviously something on your mind you've been distracted for the past few days."
"That obvious?" She seated herself and waited for Sky to join her. "It's Falcon." She continued. "He wants me to move in with him, Julia and Josh."
"And you don't want too?"
"I don't know. I want to stay here for now anyway. But Falcon wants us to live together as a family."
"Why don't you ask him to move in here? It's your home and there's plenty of room."
"Thanks Sky." She smiled unsure if Falcon would agree.
Flame silently entered Falcon's room a few hours later. It was late she new but she couldn't sleep not until she'd spoken to him.
"Flame hey, I thought you were coming around earlier." He grinned up at her from the bed.
"I got held up. I've been thinking ..." She walked to the bed lowering herself on the edge. "I want you to move into the boarding school until we find somewhere else. I love it there it's my home and the baby will have plenty of people to play with." Falcon grinned at her. He new it was what she wanted and had planned to ask if that's what she wanted, but hadn't got round to it.
"Okay." He said simply.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, if that's what you want." She grinned at him.
"I love you." She said suddenly throwing her arms around his shoulders.
"I love you too. You know that. Why don't you stay here tonight? We don't have to do anything I just want you with me." Flame nodded and kissed him, her hand stroking beneath his top.
"I think we'll be okay, as long as we're careful." She grinned.
Flame woke early the next morning. She glanced at the empty bed beside her. She was disappointed that Falcon wasn't there. Flame scrambled out of bed and swiftly dressed in a long black skirt and a white top, that she'd kept in a bag in Falcon's wardrobe.
Flame had spent most of her time at Falcon's, since she'd found out about the baby. She hadn't seen much point in having to walk backwards and forwards to get her clothes.
"Where do you think you're going?" Falcon stood in the doorway his eyes focused on Flame.
"I thought you'd abandoned me." She grinned at him, her green eyes sparkling.
"Never." He smiled back.
"I've gotta go home. Tally's been down lately and I told Celia I'd talk to her."
"I'll come with you. I'll bring some of my stuff."
Flame sat in the kitchen staring across a table at the young girl.
"Is there something troubling you?" She asked in a soft voice.
"It's mum and dad they died two years ago and I miss them." Tally frowned.
"It's okay sweat heart. I'm sure they're watching you right now. I bet they're very proud of you and your sister."
"Brady doesn't care."
"I'm sure she does. People handle things in different ways. Maybe you should talk to her."
Falcon stood in the doorway of Flame's room. He watched his eyes transfixed on every movement she made.
"You look beautiful. He smiled at her. "Are you ready to go? Josh and mum are waiting. Flame nodded she'd agreed to have dinner with Josh, Julia and Falcon although she didn't feel up to it she wasn't about to let them down.
"Yeah, let me just ..." She broke off clutching her stomach. Falcon was by her side in the next instant.
"What's wrong?"
"I don't know. I've had these cramps all day on and off they've started to get worse."
"Come on, let's sit you down." Falcon began to help her to the bed . Flame gasped halting where she stood.
"My waters have broken."
"I'll call mum."
"How are you doing sweetheart?" Julia stood above her at the side of the long bed. "Her contractions aren't far apart a minute maybe two." Sky reported damping Flame's head with a cloth.
"I need you to give me a big push Flame." She took Falcon's hand and did as instructed screaming out loud. She was exhausted, but she wouldn't give up. She had to do this for her child, for Falcon. Her family.
"Good girl you're doing great. I can see the head. I'm going to need another big push in a moment but not until I tell you okay." Julia looked up at the exhausted women she herself had delivered nearly 17 years before. Flame tightened her grip on Falcon's hand.
"Now." Julia ordered. Flame did as she was instructed. Pushing as hard as she could. She felt tears stream down her cheeks hearing the little cries, coming from her child. Her head fell back against the pillow in exhaustion.
"Well done." Falcon gently released Flames hand, kissing her and hurrying to see their child.
"It's a boy." He announced holding the tiny child in his arms, his dark brown eyes lovingly looking at his son.
"Oh god Julia." Flame began to pant. Falcon looked at her fear in his eyes. Was something wrong with Flame? He handed his baby son to Sky and hurried over to Flame's side. "What is it?" He took her hand in his. She screamed again unable to stop herself.
"It's all right Flame. Sweetheart you're having twins now relax, take a deep breath." Flame's bewildered eyes focused up at Falcon, who's expression hadn't changed from worry for her.
"It shouldn't take long now. Push." Flame did as ordered until she could finally hear her child cry. She was unable to move her body exhausted.
"It's a girl." She heard some minutes later as she struggled to pull herself up. Falcon helped her, piling pillows behind her back. When he was satisfied she was comfortable, Falcon collected the two children and handed them to Flame.
"Do you know what you're going to call them?" Sky asked staring down at the tiny children.
"Yeah, He's Zane and she's Dallas after my grandma."
"Happy?" Falcon asked some minutes later when they were finally alone.
"Yeah. You?" She asked her daughter and son now sleeping in a crib next to the bed.
"You know I am. But there's something that would make me even happier." Flame stared at him a bewildered expression on her face.
"What?"
"Will you be my wife?"
"Yes." She grinned, her arms flying around his neck. She kissed him.

Flame stared at the amazing white dress that clung to every curve of her slender form. Her long, auburn hair hung loosely down her slender back. She smiled back at her reflection. Her wedding day had finally arrived two months after her children had been born. Luckily Julia had managed to track down her uncle when he was travelling through London. He'd been only too happy to agree to Flame's marriage to Falcon he'd received many letters from his sister saying how they'd make the perfect couple even from when they were little.
Falcon stood at the front of the long church his heart racing. He heard the music that announced Flame's arrival. He swiftly turned to see her walking towards him. His breath caught in his throat. She looked amazing and soon she'd be his forever. She stood beside him, a wide smile across her lips.
They faced each other as the vicar began to speak their smiles never fading.
"Dearly beloved we are gathered hear today to witness the joining of Scarlet and Falcon." He continued with the introduction.
"Falcon do you take Scarlet, Heather, Tucker to be your wife? Do you promise to love and protect her until death do you part?"
"I do."
"And do you Scarlet, take Falcon, Jude, Parker to be your husband to love honour and obey until death do you part?"
"I do." Flame continued to smile all her nerves and fear vanishing when she looked at Falcon.
"You are now husband and wife." Flame gently moved forward her lips meeting Falcon's. Her husband.
