PART 23: Amber and Danni stood face to face. Amber's heart was raising she was so scared not of being defeated by Danni. But for Bray she new that if Danni did manage to defeat her she wouldn't kill her, she said a member of there own tribe would and Amber new she'd make Bray, he'd have no choice because Danni would make sure he new that if he didn't she would and it wouldn't be painless. Amber shook her head quickly she took one last look at Bray and stepped forward. She began to fight with Danni she couldn't let her win and she new it. The two on looking tribe's grew silent each eagerly watching and waiting for the winner. Amber quickly resulted Danni to the ground. Danni stared up at Amber a moment an evil grin emerging on her face as she began to stand, she drew a sharp silver dagger from the back pocket of her black jeans. Amber saw the dagger her face filled with fear as they once again stood face to face. Danni quickly moved closer to Amber the sharp blade firmly clutched in her hand. The tribe's watched as Amber desperately struggled to free the knife from Danni's clenched fist. The two women froze as a pool of dark red almost black, thick blood started to form on the floor. Both tribe's stood in shock as the two women didn't moved for what seemed like eternity.
PART 24: "Amber suddenly fell to the ground dark red blood covering her top. Danni dropped the knife in shock. Bray ran to Amber's motionless body. His dark brown eyes filled with anger and hatred. The tribe's watched as Bray steeped over to where the blood stained dagger lay at Danni's feet he grasped it filmy in his hand he stared at Danni then with out a word he plunged the dagger into her chest, Danni didn't have time to react it happened to fast she suddenly fell face down on the floor the dagger still deep in her chest.
Bray rushed back to Amber he fell to his knees beside her, his hand flat of her chest desperately searching for a pulse, a sign of hope. He could feel a weak pounding in her jest. He new he had to stop the bleeding fast or she would die. He new there was a chance however small it was still a chance to save her. Bray quickly rushed to the furniture shop that was opposite to where Amber lay. He grabbed a thin white sheet and a small towel then rushed back to Amber.
The Dingo's were now gathered round Danni who was bleeding heavily. Bray firmly pressed towel to Amber's wound he tightly held it in place, applying as much pressure as he could. He wrapped the white sheet tightly around her to keep her as worm as he could. Dodge stood from where Danni lay dead. "ATTAK!" He yelled as loud as he could.
Bray scooped Amber up in his arms still applying pressure to the wound. He quickly ran for the sewers the Mall Rats followed him as quickly as they could the Dingo's still closely behind them. The Mall Rats quickly exited the sewers and scattered in different directions. As the Dingo's rushed from the sewers there was no sign of the Mall Rats.
Bray saw Dal, Trudy, Brady and Leah and gathered them together. They headed for the forest which they'd decided would be safer than the city. The was no sign of the others but right now Bray didn't care Amber was his main priority and he new he couldn't keep moving her or the wound would tear. As they came to a small clearing in the forest Bray gently lay Amber down on the ground he placed his jacket to support her head. Dal searched his small medical bag that he had managed to grab during the fight and pulled out some clean rags. He handed them to Bray, who removed the blood stained towel and stared at the small wound which was now only slightly flowing with blood. He pushed a clean rag to the wound. It took a few hours but the bleeding finally stopped. He placed his hand once again on her chest praying for a heart beat. He smiled as he felt strong beats beneath his hand. He bandaged up the small wound with what supplies Dal had found after bathing it with boiled water from the river that Trudy had managed to heat to rid it of germs. "She should be awake soon." Dal announced his voice shaky at the thought of what would have happened if Bray hadn't managed to stood the bleeding. Bray felt the cool breeze whistle through the trees and wrapped Amber's blanket tightly against her. Bray gently rested Amber's head on his legs, lightly stroking her soft golden hair.
Bray stared down at Amber as he heard her moan softly, he felt her head move slightly and watched as her bright blue eyes glared up at him. The serious look on Bray's face quickly vanished and a worm smile appeared in it's place. "Where are we? Where is everyone?" Amber asked in a quite bewildered voice. "It's okay you're safe, Danni's dead." Bray said the relief obvious in his voice. "We're in the forest, we got split from everyone." Trudy explained sitting beside her and Bray. "Bray, what happened to Danni ? Are you sure she's dead?" Amber asked her body shivered with fear at the thought of the her. "Bray stabbed her and we watched her die." Dal said quickly. Amber lay silent for a moment taking in what Dal had just told her. She slowly sat up feeling nausious for a minute. She lightly lent forward and gently kissed Bray. "Lets go and find the others." Amber said suddenly realising it would be dark in a few hours and she didn't want the tribe sepearted it was safer if they were together. "Amber's I don't think..." "I'm fine realy Bray, if I need to rest I'll tell you, I promise." Amber intrupted him. Bray stared at her drawn pale face. He reluctantly nodded knowing he couldn't argue with her. "Are you sure Amber?" Trudy asked
Amber, Bray and the others wandered through the forest for nearlly two hours when the finally came across Salene, Ryan, Gemma, Jenny, Tai-San, Lex and the baby who had spent all day looking for the rest of the mall rats.
PART 25: By nightfall nearly all the Mall Rats were gathered together in the woods near to the river in the clearing Bray and the others had found earlier that day. "Where's Kc and Cloe?" Patsy asked as she searched through the cluster of confused Mall Rats. "Did anyone see them when we got out of the Mall?" Salene asked as she looked around at the Mall Rats who just stared around at each other. "There probably still in the lift!" Lex said breaking the silence taking his son from his exhausted wife. "Why were they in the lift?" Bray asked looking at Lex. "In case anything happened like before with tribe circus." Tai-San answered she was now slumped on the long grass on the forest floor. "We will have to go and get them out the Mall!" Amber said looking at the others "Kc and Cloe aren't the only ones who are missing! Ellie and Jack aren't here either." Dal informed them. "I think we should look for them tomorrow the three babies need some where worm to stay." Trudy suggested looking at her small daughter then at the two new arrivals to the tribe. "Okay we'll find a place to stay tonight and start looking for the four of them first thing in the morning." Amber announced as she and Bray began walking the rest of the Mall Rats followed.
"Kc how are we going to get out of here?" Cloe asked as tears began to roll down her flushed cheeks. Kc gently put his arm around her. Cloe was surprised she'd never seen Kc be nice to anyone before. "Cloe!" Kc said nervously. "What?" Cloe asked staring up at Kc "I" "What?" Cloe asked curiously as she waited for Kc to continue. "I love you Cloe!" Kc said turning bright crimson. Cloe stared at him for moment then smiled at him she gently reached up and kissed him. One of the Dingo guards saw them, they were by some box's next to the lift. "What are you doing here?" Kc stood up making sure the guard couldn't see Cloe. He was good at making up lies quickly he'd had plenty of practice. "Well?" The guard demanded impatiently. Staring at the green spiky hared boy. "I'm...." before he could answer a guard rushed in. "Hurry up the funeral's are about to take place out side and with the two leaders being dead Dodge is taking over." The guards rushed from the room taking Kc and Cloe who the second guard had seen. Outside . During the funeral Kc grabbed Cloe's hand and they quickly suck off before the new leader Dodge had realised they had gone.
The Mall Rats walked for hours and finally came to an old abandoned farm house as they entered the tall house the were greeted by a small puppy and cat that had obviously been left to fend for themselves. Patsy read there golden tags that hung loosely around there necks. The dog's tag said Daisy and the cats said Patch. "The powers on." Dal announced as he and Lex came farm a small locked barn where the farms generator had been kept.
Bray, Ebony and Ryan checked each room but they didn't find any one. Salene and Amber checked the kitchen and to there surprise they found piles of food and a couple of baby bottles and powdered milk. There was 3 downstairs bedrooms and 5 up the people who oned it had built it themselves. Amber arranged where everyone was sleeping. Salene, Ryan and Gemma had one of the down stairs bed rooms, Jenny and Ebony had another one and Lex, Tai-San and the baby which they had decided to call Alex took the other one. Trudy and Brady got one of the upstairs ones. Patsy and Leah took the next one. Dal took the next one, Amber and Bray took the other upstairs room leaving a spare room.
PART 26: Ellie and Jack wandered down a long dull street it was getting late and they new they had to find somewhere to stay the night. Jack stared at Ellie who stood next to him her arm in his. "Are you sure you're okay Ellie? You fell pretty hard" Jack asked his voice filled with concern. As he recalled running from the Dingo's and hearing Ellie scream from behind him. "I'm fine Jack, really." Ellie smiled up at him she was limping and despite Jack wanted to wait in the forest near the Mall Ellie had objected and made him go to the city she new it would be safer at night most of the tribe's were asleep and there were plenty of empty houses and shops around. "There's a shed over their do you want to stay there tonight?" Jack asked as he pointed to a row of sheds that were on sail on the road side before the virus. "Okay!" Ellie smiled at him as he helped her to the shed. He lay a small brown blanket on the wooden floor of the shed he and Ellie had found it along with some other things in a house that they'd had to run from when the Demon Dogs had seen them. He slumped down on it next to Ellie, who gently rested her head on his shoulder.
PART 27: "Where do you think the others are Kc?" Kc shrugged as he looked at Cloe who stood closely by his side in the tall forest. They froze at the sound of food steps in the trees behind them. "Wait here Cloe I'll go and see who's there." Kc walked throughout the darkening forest he couldn't see anyone so he started walking back to Cloe. He felt a strong hand on his shoulder and quickly spun around, he looked up to see a tall, dark hared guy standing in front of him. "Pride." Kc said relieved. Pride was the leader of the Gaian tribe. He had rescued Amber from Eagle mountain and got her and Bray back together. He left with his tribe after he helped them defeat a powerful tribe the Chosen. "Hi Kc! Where's the rest of the tribe?" Pride asked smiling down at him and wondered what mischief he was up to now. "I don't know." Kc and Pride continued to walk back to where he had left Cloe. "Why aren't you at the Mall?" Pride asked curiously. "Danni Bray's ex-girlfriend, remember I told you about her, Bray's rebound chick. Well she turned out to be a right psycho she attacked the Mall with a tribe called the Dingo's. To cut a long story short she fought with Amber again she'd been to the Mall before and made Amber lose her and Bray's kid. She and stabbed Amber. Bray killed Danni grabbed Amber and ran out the rest of the Mall Rats followed. Me and Chloe were watching from near the lift. We couldn't go with the others because the Dingo's would have caught us. When we finally got out we couldn't find the Mall Rats and then we saw you." Kc explained quickly filling in Pride on the events of the past few months. "Is Eagle I mean Amber okay?" Pride asked with a worried look on his face taking in all the new information. "She was breathing but I don't know what happened to her after they got out of the Mall." "How's Ebony?" Pride asked a small smile on his face at the thought of her. They'd gone out together for a month, then Pride left with his tribe. Ebony had decided to stay at the Mall she wasn't much of a country girl. "She's fine her usual bossy self, Where's your tribe Pride?" Cloe asked she'd joined them while Kc was telling him what had happened. "I've left them I wanted to be with Ebony. So lets go and find the Mall Rats." Pride said quickly and the three of them continued walking in the forest.
Amber, Bray and the others had been looking for the missing Mall Rats for the past week they'd been searching the whole day and as it started to turn dark they decided to return back to the farm. "Amber how's your ankle?" Bray asked as he walked into there small room. "It's still a bit swollen but I'll be fine." Amber reassured him she'd seen how worried he'd been for her since she had been stabbed. "I'm sorry Amber." Bray said softly as he sat beside her on the soft matters of the double bed. "What for?" Amber asked looking at him with her bright blue eyes. "For letting Danni hurt you again after I promised you I would protect you." "It wasn't your fault Bray you saved my life more than once." Amber said as she pressed her body against his and held him to her. He gently wrapped her arms around her.
PART 28: Amber was up early the next morning it had been 2 week's since she and the others had found the farm. Amber wasn't feeling well and didn't want to add to Bray's worry further so she went to the kitchen where Tai-San sat with Alex. "Morning Amber." Before Amber could answer she rushed to the outside toilet and got their just in time. "Are you okay Amber ?" Tai-San asked as she stood in the door way of the toilet as she heard Amber be violently sick. "Yeah I'm fine I've just been sick the past couple of days." Amber said blotting her mouth with a tissue. "Do you want me to get Dal or Bray?" Tai-San asked concerned as she watched Amber stand. "No thanks Tai-San I'll be fine." Amber said as she walked back to the kitchen doorway followed by Tai-San. "Are you sure?" "Yeah I'll be fine you go and put Alex down." "Okay but you know where I am if you need me!" Tai-San said as she left to sort out her restless son.
Amber walked back into the kitchen to see Salene cooking. "Hi Salene!" Amber managed a smile as she pored herself as class of clear water that they had got from the stream and boiled a few days before. "Hi Amber foods ready sit down!" Salene smiled. She looked at Amber and saw her as white as a ghost. "No thanks Salene I've been feeling sick I think it's a bug I just came to get some water then me, Bray, Dal, Lex , Ebony and Ryan are going to look for the others." Amber said as she picked up her glass and left the room.
Amber gathered everyone together outside the front of the farm house the split into groups and set off to find the others. Cloe, Pride and Kc had been walking through the forest for days they'd stayed at a small barn for a few days until deciding to move on. "Kc!" Someone called from the bush's. "AMBER!" Cloe cried as she rushed to her and hugged her tightly.
PART 29: Amber and the others went back to the farm they sat in the dining room around a long brown, varnished table. Lex and Ebony still hadn't returned they had gone to search for Ellie and Jack. "Why are you here Pride?" Salene asked curiously as she handed him a glass of water. "I want to join the Mall Rats if that's okay with all of you." "What about the Gaians?" Amber asked wondering what the real reason for him returning was. It must be important he loved being a Gaian. "There fine with out me Rooster the new leader he'll be fine. So can I join?" Pride asked anxiously. "Anyone with any objections? No good welcome to the tribe!" Amber said still curious to his motives.
"How's your leg Ellie?" Jack asked curiously it had been nearly two weeks but Ellie was still having problems walking on it. "It's a lot better thanks Jack." Ellie smiled up at him. "Do you want to rest?" "No! I'm fine Jack really." Jack wasn't listing as Ellie tried to convincing she was fine. He heard loud foot steps coming up the street. "ELLIE RUN!" Jack yelled as he saw the Dingo's who saw them walk up the street The Dingo's chased them. "Jack over there quick." Ellie yelled as she grabbed Jack's had and they hid behind a pile of rubbish. The watched eagerly as the Dingo's ran past them. Jack grabbed Ellie's hand once again and they headed toward the forest.
After they'd been walking for nearly an hour they head a loud females voice from the trees in front of them "Who's there?" Ellie asked as she moved closer to Jack realising there was no where to run. They watched as to there relief Ebony and Lex stepped out of the bush's. "Where have you two been everyone has been really worried about you." Ebony said asked as they began to walk towards the farm house. "We were in the city." Jack explained. "Follow us we'll take you to the rest of the Mall Rats." Lex said looking at the two dishevelled Mall Rats.
"WE'RE BACK!" Lex shouted and ran upstairs to Tai-San and baby Alex. Ellie and Jack went to the kitchen and sat down with everyone. When Ebony walked in the room she was shocked to see Pride sitting with the others he quickly walked over to her and kissed her. "How long are you back for?" Ebony asked smiling at him. "Forever if you want me!" Pride answered with a grin. Ebony wrapped her arms around Pride's back and kissed him passionately.
PART 30: Amber had been sick every morning now for over a month. She hadn't told Bray he had enough to worry about with out her problems too. "Morning Amber!" Trudy said with a huge smile on her face, her daughter griping her hand tightly. "Hi Trudy!" Amber managed a small smile. She hoped Trudy hadn't noticed how pale she was. But luckily she didn't seem to notice. "What are you doing up so early? I thought only Mums got up this early." Before Amber could answer she rushed to the upstairs toilet Trudy put Brady down and followed her. "Amber!" Trudy said as she quickly placed Brady in a wooden high chair in the kitchen, and rushed to the upstairs bathroom. "Are you all right Amber?" Trudy asked concern obvious in her voice. Amber shook her head and turned to face Trudy, her face pale, drained she looked exhausted. "What's wrong?" Trudy asked her voice calm in almost a whisper. "I've been sick every morning for over a month now. I didn't want to tell Bray he's worried enough as it is." Trudy sat next to Amber on the pale pink floor. "Amber do you think that you might be pregnant?" Trudy asked recalling when she was pregnant with Brady being sick for moths, headaches, back pains. She stared at Amber who glared at her with shocked eyes. "I don't think I am! I don't know." Amber shook her head confused. Trudy suddenly stood up. "Where are you going?" Amber asked staring up dazed at Trudy. "Wait here I'll be back in a minuet." Trudy said as quickly rushed from the room.
Trudy returned nearly five minutes later a pregnancy test clutched firmly in her hand. "Where did you get that?" Amber asked staring at the small box in Trudy's hand. "I got it from Dal's medical bag! When Tai-San wanted to confirm her pregnancy Lex and Dal found a few in the chemist at the Mall." "What did you tell him?" "Nothing he left the bag in the kitchen on the table." Trudy handed Amber the kit the small box she quickly followed the instructions. "Now all we have to do is wait a few minuets." Trudy said as Amber placed the small white tube on a table next to the sink. "How long are you going to be?" Lex yelled from the other side of the door. "I'll be 10 minuets go to the outside bathroom if you're desperate." Trudy yelled back, she was watching Amber who sat nervously across the room from the test. "It's freezing outside!" Lex answered back still yelling but not as loud in case he woke his son. "Stop moaning you'll thaw out when you come back in side." Trudy answer with a grin on her face. She heard Lex storm down the stairs and out of the side door.
Amber stared at her watch for the time instructed. "It's time." Amber said as she glared up at Trudy with dull blue eyes. "You're going to have look." Trudy said as she saw Amber make no move towards the test. "I'm scared Trudy." Amber whispered in a quiet voice. "I 'll. look." Trudy smiled at her. She walked over to the small brown table and lifted up the small white test. "It's blue your pregnant!" Trudy smiled, she walked over to Amber and hugged her. "It is good news isn't it Amber? You do want a baby don't you?" Trudy asked at the bewildered expression on Amber's even paler face. "Yeah I think, I just need some time to adjust to the thought." "When are you going to tell Bray?" Amber stared up at Trudy she hadn't thought about how Bray would react what if he didn't want a baby? He was great with Brady, but that was different she was his niece not his own child. She remembered Bray telling Salene when Trudy had Brady that he wasn't ready to be a dad, what if he still wasn't ready? "Not yet!" Amber answered realising she's been quiet for to long. "Why?" "I want to wait a while make it a real surprise. I'll tell him soon, I promise, I'll see you later." Amber said as she walked dazed from the room.
PART 31: Amber stood in her room two months later she stood looking in the long vanity mirror and placing her hands on the tiny bump that was begging to show on her stomach. "Amber I've been looking every where for you!" Trudy said as she walked into the small room. "What's wrong?" Amber asked quickly turning to face Trudy. "You still haven't told Bray that's what's wrong, the baby has started to show you can't keep it a secret forever Amber Bray's going to notice if you leave it another month everyone will be able to tell." "I know I'm going to tell him." Amber said her voice quiet. "When? When you go into labour or maybe just after you give birth." "I'll tell him tonight." Amber said quickly her voice agitated. Trudy stared at her a moment and left the room.
Later everyone gathered round the kitchen table. "We've got an important announcement to make!" Ryan said staring each of the Mall Rats. "Me, Salene, Gemma and Jenny are moving to an abandoned cottage a few miles away from here we will still be Mall Rats but we think it's best if we move it's only a few hours walk and if you decided to move we'll come with you, we are going to move out tonight." Jenny stood up An hour later the four said there good byes to the rest of the Mall Rats.
Amber woke up later that night Bray's strong arms were wrapped tightly around her. She looked up at Bray and slipped out of his loving grip. She quickly dressed in a pair of leather jeans and a long white blouse that fell just below her stomach. Amber reached under the bed and pulled out a rucksack that she had packed earlier that day. Amber took a closed envelope out of her rucksack that was labelled Bray and placed it on the beside table against a small blue lamp. Amber gazed at Bray for a long moment, she loved him so much and didn't want to hurt him but she had to do this. She lightly bent down and kissed Bray's strong cheek. "Forgive me." Amber whispered lifting the rucksack on to her shoulders and headed from the room she didn't look back she couldn't, seeing Bray would make it impossible for her to go.
The next morning Bray stretched his arm out to reach for Amber, he suddenly opened his eyes as he felt the cold bed sheet. Bray quickly climbed out of bed and pulled on a pair of black trousers and a black shirt. He quickly rushed down stairs usually when he woke up and Amber wasn't there he didn't think it strange, but this morning he new something was wrong Amber's side of the bed hadn't been slept in for at least a few hours.
Bray rushed into the kitchen where all of the Mall Rats sat eating there breakfast. "Has anyone seen Amber this morning?" Bray asked his voice slightly out of breath. "No, is everything okay Bray?" Trudy asked looking at him. She could tell he was distressed and wondered if he and Amber had, had a fight about the baby last night. Bray seemed agitated so she didn't mention the baby, she just watched him quickly rush from the room. Bray entered his room 10 minutes later as he slumped on the bed he saw the tattered envelope with his name written on it. He picked up the note and began to read it his expression changed into a confused frown as he read the note. PART 32: Bray stared at the crinkled paper that was firmly clutched in his hands he stared down at the words that didn't seem to make sense to him. "Dear Bray I'm sorry I didn't say good-bye properly I know you'd stop me from leaving. But there is something I have to do. I know you'll be angry at me when you find out why I've left, but please don't come looking for me, and don't hate me. I promise I'll be safe and I'll be back soon Forgive me.
LOVE AMBER P.'S keep the ring till I return."
Bray shook that envelope on to the small table. A small gold band that used to be on Amber's finger fell on to the table in front of him. Bray rushed down the stairs to the kitchen the note still grasped in his hand, he rushed in to the kitchen and through the wrinkled peace of paper on the table in front of the Mall Rats. "What's that?" Dal asked staring at the paper that lay turned over on the table. "It's from Amber read it!" Bray ordered. Dal lifted up the paper and read the note out loud. Trudy crept out of the kitchen making sure no one saw her and ran out side. She should have told Bray about the baby, it was obvious when she heard the note that she hadn't. She stared around at the field but couldn't see any sign of Amber. "I hope you know what you're doing." Trudy whispered in the worm breeze she stared back in the kitchen at Bray and decided she couldn't tell him about the baby. What if Amber didn't come back ? She couldn't tell Bray that he'd not just lost his wife but his child to.
Bray broke the silence that had crept into the kitchen. "I'm going to look for her." Bray said as he quickly rose from a wooden chair. "Don't be stupid Bray it's started to rain heavy!" Lex said standing in front of him blocking the way to the back door. "Well what am I meant to do sit here and wait?" "For now yeah." "Amber's outside in this what if something happens to her?" Bray asked looking out of the open door. "Bray, Amber's a big girl she can look after herself." "Maybe but she's not on her own. Patsy's not hear either she must have gone after Amber." Cloe informed the confused Mall Rats. "We'll wait for the rain to stop and Me, Bray, Ebony and Lex will look for them." Pride said knowing that if he didn't suggest something Bray would go off on his own, he wasn't thinking straight and could get himself caught or killed.
PART 33: Bray sat on the edge of his bed twilling Amber's wedding ring between his fingers and thumb it had been nearly 3 months since she had left they hadn't been able to search for her because of the constant changes in the weather, Lex and Pride had thought it would be to risky to go wondering off around the country during a storm. Bray very rarely left his room when he did he only muttered responses to questions from the Mall Rats and go back to his room.
"Dal!" Jack called as he walked into the small outside barn where Dal spent a lot of his time. Leah stood next to Dal by a small table that Dal had fetched from the attic of the farm house. "What is it Jack?" Dal asked briefly staring up at him, then continuing to search through a small leather bag. "There's something important I need to do and I'm going to need you're help. You're to Leah" Jack said as he grinned at his friends. "Sure, Jack what do you want me to do?" Dal asked, as Leah nodded Jack explained what he needed them both to do.
" Hi Ellie. Do you mind if I come in?" Leah asked standing in the doorway to Ellie's room "No, come on in, what's wrong?" Ellie asked. Leah sat on the edge of the flowered bed spread next to Ellie. "I have this problem and I wondered if you could help me, I'd usually talk to one of my sisters about it but, Debby died, Tara left and Jenny well she moved out with Ryan and Salene." "Tell me the problem and I'll see what I can do." "It's Dal I like him a lot and I don't know how to tell him, I know he likes me but I think, he thinks of me as just a friend." "Tell him how you feel what's the worst he can say?" "That he wants to be friends." Leah answered looking nervously at Ellie. "I've known Dal a long time and I think you should tell him, you might be surprised." Leah looked up at the door and saw Jack in the hall way, he quickly disappeared. "Thanks for the advice Ellie, do you want to get something to eat? I think Salene's cooking tonight" "Okay!" Ellie said as she rose from the bed and followed Leah the kitchen. Ellie opened the tall door her eyes studied the room in the dim candle light. Ellie looked in the centre of the room at the small table that was prepared with three long pink candles in the middle, two dinners and two glasses of wine. Jack steeped out of the shadowed corner of the room. Leah quickly left the room shutting the door behind her. Jack pulled out a seat for Ellie. Once she once seated he moved to the chair opposite her.
Ellie and Jack spent all night talking and laughing. Jack finally found the courage and pulled red box from his trouser pocket he opened the box to reveal a slender, gold band that held a small red stone in the middle. "Eillie, I love you, will you marry me?" Jack asked nervously placing the ring on the table in front of her. |
