The night before the wedding Amber walked up and down her bed room floor she was really nervous. She had never been married before and she never thought she would be. She wasn't the marrying type but she loved Bray and when he asked her to marry him her heart melted. Amber was startled by a sudden Knock on the wall of her room entrance that was covered by a red curtain.
"Come in!" Amber said looking at the curtain. "Hi Salene."
"Hi Amber I brought your dress." Amber picked up a long white, silk dress that touched the floor. It had thin shoulder straps and little red roses at the bottom to make it look even more stunning. Amber had found it in the wedding shop a few weeks ago and Salene had kept it so Bray wouldn't see it before the wedding.
"Patsy and Chloe's dresses are ready." Salene announced a pleased smile on her face.
"Thanks Salene."
"I should get going Ryan will start to fuss if he doesn't no where I am." Salene said as she started to exit the room.
"Night Salene." Amber waited for Salene to leave before placing the dress on a hanger and attaching it to a rail that Amber had brought into her room to hold her clothes on.
Knock, knock Amber flew her eyes to the curtain.
"Come in." She said happily. Tai-San moved the curtain aside.
"Are you ready Amber? Bray's waiting for you." Tai-San announced as she watched Amber place the last pin in the bun that her hair was now in.
"I'm coming!" Amber said in a quiet voice.
Bray stood in front of the fountain Lex stood next to him. Bray looked smart in a black shirt and a pair of black trousers he had looked for a suit however he and Lex had agreed that none of them suited him. Bray slowly turned around as Jack flicked the switch on the stereo that started playing a soft tune one of Ambers favorite songs. Amber took a deep breathe and slowly strolled down the long stairs towards Bray. He smiled at how beautiful she long in her long elegant dress and the soft whispers of her hair that had deliberately fallen from the tight golden bun. Amber and Bray stood side by side.
"I love you Amber." Bray softly whispered. A gentle smile graced Ambers slightly flushed face. Tai-San slowly began when the mall sewer doors suddenly burst open.
Danni stood staring at the surprised Mall Rats. They hadn't seen her for over a year she left just after Amber and her had a fight over Bray.
"Long time no see!" Ebony said sarcastically.
"What's going on Bray? You can't marry her Bray I still love you!" Danni said in a whiny voice. Amber quickly ran up to her room and started crying she shouldn't couldn't help herself seeing Danni brought back some horrible memories for her.
PART 2:
"What are you doing hear Danni? Don't you think you've caused enough trouble!" Salene said as she looked at the tattered haired girl who strolled towards the Mall Rats.
"I'm hear because I want Bray back." Danni insisted in a now squeaky voice.
"I've told you before I love Amber not you and I never want to see you again after what you did. You nearly ruined my life and I'm gonna make sure you don't get a chance to do it again." Bray yelled barging past Danni who just stared at him as he ran up the stairs after Amber.
"Amber it's me Bray can I come in ?" Bray asked in a pleading voice he couldn't bare it if Amber shut him out or if he lost her again. There was no answer so after a moment Bray walked he cast his eyes to the curled up figure on the bed that was pressed against the back wall of the room. As Amber stared up at Bray crystal tears ran softly down her face. Bray slowly sat down next to Amber and gently placed his arm around her slender shoulders.
"Has she gone?" Amber said tears still streaming down her cheeks.
"Not yet." Bray said in a said voice.
"She always ruins every thing this is meant to be one of the most happiest days of our lives Bray and she's ruined it." Amber said burring her head in her hands. Bray gently lifted Amber head to face his he softly smudged the tears of her face with his thumb and gently pressed his soft lips to hers.
"We can still get married today." Bray whispered softly.
"With her still hear she'll ruin it."
" No she wont Amber I love you and there is nothing Danni can do to change that. Amber I'm asking you again, will you marry me?" Bray said looking into her deep blue eyes.
PART 3:
Amber flung her arms about Brays strong shoulders and lightly kissed his lips.
"So does that mean yes?" Bray a teasing smile on his face.
"Yes. But..." Amber went sigh lent for a minute.
"But what?"
"Danni, she tried to poison me and if Ebony hadn't seen her I'd be dead now!" Amber said the memory vivid in her mind. "What if she tries it again it wouldn't just kill me Bray it would kill the our baby." Amber said placing her hand lightly on her flat stomach.
"She wont I'll make sure of that." Bray said placing his hand on top of hers.
"How Bray? You can't watch her 24 hours a day. She's a vindictive little which."
"May be I can't watch he 24 hours a day but I can be with you 24 hours a day. Amber I love you so much."
An hour later Bray gathered all of the Mall Rats together again by the fountain. Kc and Lex had made sure Danni wouldn't spoil the wedding by looking Danni in a cupboard in her old room and sealing the key whole with blue take though Lex had told Amber and Bray that she was sulking in her room he didn't think Amber would agree to even Danni being treated that way even after all she'd done.
"Amber do you promise to love honor and cherish Bray from now and forever?" Tai-San began as she looked at the proud couple.
"I do!" Amber smiled looking lovingly at Bray.
"Bray do you promise to love Amber and be with her forever?"
"I do!" Bray smiled as he turned to face Amber and gently placed a gold ring on her finger.
"Amber and Bray you have pledged to spend the rest of your lives together in front of all your friends I now pronounce you together forever." Bray wrapped his arms around Ambers waste and drew her to him he gently kissed her passionately.
PART 4:
A week later.
Amber and Bray sat on the soft bed in there room they had opened the curtain they usually left it open during the day in case any of the others needed them. Bray and Amber watched in amazement as Jack shot down the corridor and came to haut outside there room.
"BRAY HELP LEX IS AFTER ME!" Jack yelled he saw Lex coming and shot off round the corner as Lex flew past following him.
"Amber I'll be back in a minute." Bray said slightly amused at the look on Jacks face.
"Okay." Amber smiled as she watched Bray go after the two of them.
Just after Bray had left Danni saw Amber siting in her room alone. Danni strolled in the room without knocking.
"What are doing in my room get out." Amber ordered she stood up and pointed to the door.
"That's not a very nice thing to say is it Amber." Danni said taking a step towards Amber.
"You know why I'm here Bray was mine and you come back flutter your eyelashes and he dumps me and goes running back to you." Danni said angrily as she stared at Amber.
"That's not what happened!" Amber protested as Danni took another step towards Amber.
Bray finally caught up with Lex and Jack outside the furniture shop Lex had Jack by the collar of his T- shirt threatening him,
"What's going on Lex? Let Jack go!" Bray ordered as he watched Lex release his grip on Jack.
"Jack called me a bully, so I was just showing him how much of a wimp he is and how much of a bully I am."
"I was stating a fact." Jack protested straightening his white shirt.
"Well stop it there's enough trouble with out stupid arguments." Bray said looking a the two Mall Rats.
"You took everything away from me Amber so now it's my turn to take everything you love away from you." Danni yelled as she and Amber reached the top of the stairs arguing. Before Amber could react Danni quickly pushed her. Amber fell down the long stairs hitting her head on the bottom step.
"AMBER!" Bray yelled as she rushed to the bottom of the stairs where the motionless body lay.
PART 5:
Bray ran checked Ambers pulse but he couldn't find one.
"JACK GET DAL!" Bray yelled as he turned Amber over and started to give her CPR.
"Please wake up Amber I love you so much, I couldn't bear to lose you again." Bray whispered tears running down his cheeks. Dal came running to where Amber lay. He checked her pulse it was faint but she was alive.
"SHE'S ALIVE!" Dal yelled.
"Jack Dal help me lift her up stairs onto my bed." They lay her down on the bed .
"How is she Dal?" Bray asked with a tear going on his cheek he couldn't bear to lose Amber again.
"She's still unconscious but if she survives the night she will be fine." Dal said trying to hide the worry from his face.
"What about the baby?"
"What baby?" Dal asked confused.
"Ambers pregnant." Dal looked at Bray.
"I don't know Bray it was a miracle that Ambers still alive there's not much chance that the baby would survive. I'm sorry. We'll know tomorrow if Amber survives or if Amber and the baby survive." Dal said looking at Bray who's faced filled with rage.
Bray wiped the tears roughly of his face. He lightly kissed Amber on the cheek and ran downstairs to find Danni.
PART 6:
Bray couldn't find Danni he'd searched every where he didn't want to leave Amber anything could happen and he didn't want her to be on her own. After all Amber needed him and getting revenge on Danni could wait. When Bray reached his room there was no sign of Dal he saw Amber lying helplessly on the bed. He suddenly saw Danni in the room. She didn't see him so he listened to what she had to say.
"Amber no matter how many times I try to kill you it doesn't work. And now I find out that your pregnant. I heard Bray announce it proudly to Dal earlier. I know Bray always wanted kids but you aren't going to give them him I am. I should be pregnant me and you, you should have stayed dead on Eagle mountain. Now I'm going to finish what I started!" Danni picked up a pillow and lifted it above Amber.
PART 7:
Bray quickly ran in to the room.
"DANNI STOP!" He yelled startling her. Danni dropped the pillow and ran past Bray. Bray ran to Amber he scooped her in his arms and held her tight gently rocking her.
"I'm so sorry Amber it's all my fault. I'll get her back for what she did to you and I'll make sure she never hurts you again. I promise you that Amber." Bray whispered.
Dal walked into the cafe most of the Mall Rats were eating there breakfast eagerly awaiting news on Amber.
"Dal how's Amber?" Ellie asked really worried .
"I saw her first thing there was no change I'm going to check on her again in a minute." Dal explained.
Dal walked in Ambers room Bray was asleep in the chair next to her. Bray woke up as he saw Dal checking up on Amber.
"How is she Dal ?" Bray asked eagerly watching them.
"Ambers still alive and she should wake up soon." Dal said in an enthusiastic voice.
"What about the baby?" Bray asked lightly brushing the hair from Amber face.
"I wont know until Amber wakes up." Dal said wishing he could reassure Bray that Amber was going to be fine. H new they were meant to be together. When he saw the look on Amber's face when she first met Bray he new how she felt. Amber had been his best friend for years and he new her well enough to tell when she liked someone.
Dal wandered into the cafe where everyone was still waiting for the news.
"How is she?" Jack asked as he watched the expression on Dal's face which remained unchanged for a moment then turned in to a light smile.
"She's fine she should be awake soon."
"How did it happen anyway did she fall?" Kc asked he and most of the others had been out food hunting or doing there choirs and had only been told that Amber was in a bad way."
"No Kc!" Dal replied.
"What happened then?" Kc asked again.
"She was pushed!" The Mall Rats looked each other in shock after all who would hurt Amber?
"Who'd wont to kill Amber?" Ellie asked and turned her attention to Ebony everyone new that her and Amber had, had problems in the past.
"It wasn't Ebony!" Salene said the Mall Rats glanced at her.
"It was Danni."
PART 8:
Amber slowly opened her eyes it took her a few minutes to work out where she was as she hazily looked around the room. Bray walked in the room he'd gone to get a glass of water from the cafe which he dropped on the floor when he saw Amber awake. Bray ran over to Amber and wrapped his arms around her. He passionately kissed her.
"What happened Bray?" Amber asked with a puzzled look on her face.
"What do you remember?"
"I remember us getting married and I remember you going after Lex and Jack and then I remember Danni coming in our room she accused me of stealing you from her. That's it I can't remember anything else.
"Danni and you had an argument and then you must have gone to the balcony and Danni pushed you down the stairs."
"What about our baby Bray is it okay ?" Amber asked suddenly remembering that she was pregnant.
"I don't know Amber Dal said he'll come later today and find out." Bray said gently taking Amber's hand in his.
PART 9:
Knock, knock
"Come in." Amber said looking up at the entrance.
"Hi Dal." Amber said eagerly waiting to find out about her baby.
"Hi Amber I've come to see how you are."
"I'm fine but what about the baby?"
"That's what I've come to find out where's Bray?"
"He went to the cafe he should be back in a few minuets." Dal walked over to Amber and checked to find out if the baby was dead or alive.
"Well?" Amber asked close to tears.
"I'm sorry Amber you've had a miscarriage." Amber burst out crying. As Bray walked in to the room he new instantly when he saw the tears on Ambers cheeks. Bray ran to her.
"I'm sorry Bray." Dal said and left the room. Bray sat next to Amber and hugged her. Amber moved away from him she couldn't bare him to touch her it hurt her too much right now. Amber quickly rushed out of the room.
PART 10:
Three weeks later Amber refused to see Bray. And Danni hadn't been seen since Bray caught her trying to kill Amber.
Knock, knock
"Amber it's me Trudy can I come in?" Trudy asked as she stood anxiously outside Amber's old room where'd Amber had been staying.
"Yeah!" Trudy walked in Amber was sitting on her bed her eyes were all red and puffed up it was obvious she'd been crying.
"Hi Amber how are you?"
"I'm fine." Amber answered simply as she stuffed some tissues under her bed.
"Amber, Brays been asking if your all right he's really worried about you!"
"Did he send you?"
"No but I don't think it's fair that you blame Bray for what happened."
"I don't its just..."
"Just what?" Amber was about to answer Trudy. When there was a scream from the cafe.
Amber and Trudy ran to the cafe everyone was already there.
"What's going on?" Amber asked as she and Trudy joined the others.
"SALENE'S HAVING OUR BABY." Ryan shouted excitedly.
"Bray help me take Salene to her room." Ryan, Amber and Bray took Salene to her and Ryan's room and put her on her bed. Salene was screaming really loud now her pained screams echoed through the Mall in every room.
"Ryan, Bray I'm going to the cafe to get something's can you cope?" Ryan was holding Salene's hand tightly.
"I think so don't belong!" Bray said looking at wondering how seeing a new born baby would effect her.
Amber went back to the cafe everyone were gather around a table waiting for instructions.
"Trudy can you help us in the bedroom?" Amber asked looking at her friend who was holding her young daughter
"Yeah!"
"Ellie can you watch Brady? Alice can you take Patsy, Chloe and Kc to find some old rags and some blankets?, Jack can you get the water?, Dal can you get some things for the baby if you have to go outside take Lex and be careful is that all right Lex?"
"Yeah fine."
"And everyone else stay near by just in case you're needed.
"Amber can I help ? I'm going to have mine and Lex's baby soon and I need to know what to do." Tai-San asked as she stood next to Lex who was chatting to Kc .
"Okay you can help us in the bedroom." Bray was watching and was amazed how Amber got everyone even Lex to help and do what they were told.
"AMBER COME QUICK !" Bray shouted. Trudy gave Brady to Ellie and they ran into Salenes room.
PART 11:
"Amber here's the blankets you wanted." Cloe said as she quickly handed the small pile of folded blankets to Amber and Bray.
"Thanks Cloe you can go and play now."
"Bray how's she doing?" Amber asked as she and Bray walked to the door out of Salene's hearing distance.
"She's fine, exhausted but she should have the baby real soon."
"Everything will be fine Salene all the pain will be worth it!" Trudy said trying to reassure Salene who was in so much pain at one time Salene squaws Ryan's hand so tight it made him scream almost as loud as her.
"Bray, Amber can you go to the cafe and get some ice and water for Salene?" Trudy asked looking at her two best friends.
Bray and Amber arrived in the caf� a few minutes later. Bray watched as Amber filled a small bowl with water. She looked so tired Bray thought as he continued to stare at her.
"AMBER" Bray said suddenly as he watched her turn to look at him.
"What?"
"Do you think Salene's looking forward to having the baby?"
"She seems happy. Her and Ryan have wanted a kid for a long time."
"Amber do ... do you blame me for what happened with our baby?" Bray asked intentaly staring in her soft blue eyes.
"Bray this isn't the right time to talk about this." Amber said as she grabbed the small orange bowl of water and started to leave. Bray grabbed her arm roughly making her face him. He looked straight into her eyes not releasing his firm grip. Amber wanted to reach up and kiss him but she didn't.
"I need to know Amber do you?" Bray demanded firmly.
PART 12:
"Bray ... come to my room tomorrow we'll talk then." Amber said as she saw Tai-San appear at the end of the corridor.
"AMBER, BRAY COME QUICK WE CAN SEE THE HEAD!" Tai-San yelled rushing back in the room to help Trudy. Amber looked a Bray who nodded and followed him back to Salene's room.
"One more push Salene" Amber encouraged.
"AAAGGGHHH!"
"Well done Salene you have a baby girl." Amber congratulated her, as Trudy wrapped up the tiny baby and handed her to Salene. Amber and the others quickly left Ryan and Salene alone.
"What should we call her?" Salene asked staring up at Ryan who was smiling at the baby.
PART 13:
"Hi Salene how are you?" Trudy asked as she walked in to the small room and looked her exhausted friend.
"I'm fine." Salene replied forcing a tired smile.
"Where's Ryan?" Trudy asked curiously sitting on the edge of the bed next to Salene.
"He went to get some milk."
"She's so cute and tiny, I've got some old clothes of Brady's you can have if you want." Trudy smiled down at the young baby.
"Thanks Trudy."
As Ryan walked into the cafe he glanced at Tai-San and Kc who were sitting in the corner of the room.
"Hi Tai-San were is every one?"
"I don't know!"
"Could you help me find them the foods ready and me and Salene want to announce the baby's name." Ryan asked as he grabbed a glass of water.
"Sure, Kc you can help as well."
"Kc go and get Patsy, Cloe, Jack, Ellie ,Dal and anyone else you see tell them foods ready and there's a special announcement to be made and tell them to hurry." Tai-San ordered as Trudy and Amber wandered in to the caf�.
"What's going on?" Amber asked looking at Kc who rushed past her.
"We're gathering everyone for the announcement of Salene and Ryan's babies name." Tai-San answered.
"Ryan you go back to Salene we'll find everyone and then come and get you."
"Thanks Trudy." Ryan said as he hurried to see his daughter.
"Tai-San can you get Lex and Ebony?"
"Amber can you get Bray I'll get everyone else." Trudy ordered deliberately sending Amber to Bray she hated seeing them a part it was obvious they were meant for each other they just needed to talk to each other. "Okay Amber?" Trudy asked looking at Amber who's thoughts were obviously miles away.
"Yeah." Amber agreed.
Amber stood at the door way to Bray's room. Bray was sitting on his bed reading a book Amber took a deep breath. She wanted to walk over to him and kiss him. She wanted him to hold her tightly against him and never let her go, she loved him so much and didn't know why she kept pushing him away. She paused for a minuet and knocked on the door . Bray quickly looked to the door.
"Hi Amber." Bray smiled placing his book on the small brown beside table.
"Ryan and Salene are naming the baby and they want everyone to be there ,Trudy told me to get you ." Amber explained quickly aware of Bray's dark eyes studying her.
"Okay I'll be there in a minuet." As Amber started to leave he quickly called her name.
"What?" She asked turning to face him.
"You never answered my Question earlier."
"What question?" Amber asked with a puzzled look on her face.
"Do you blame me for what happened to our baby?" Bray asked his eyes watching her intently.
"We'll talk later it's not a good time now. Everyone's waiting for us."
"Forget everyone else, I need to know now Amber it's a simple question." Bray demanded determined to make her tell him why she was acting the way she was. Amber sat down on the bed next to him.
"No I don't blame you Bray." Amber answered after a moment of silence.
"Then why did you dump me? Amber I love you. Don't you love me any more ? Is that it?"
"You know I love you Bray, I always have but I need some time to think." Amber stared at him and watched the disappointment in her eyes. " We best get going ." Amber said quickly standing up and leaving the room. Bray shortly followed her.
When they arrived at the cafe everyone was waiting for them.
"Now everyone's hear." Ryan began. "We've decided to call our baby Gemma." Ryan announced proudly.
