How did you get her number?
I moved the microphone away so the crowd couldnt hear and said: "Do you have a boyfriend?" She said: "No" and smiled. Then i whispered "See my tour manager Jonny."
Very rock'n'roll.
Brillant isn't it? Jonny sorts me out everytime. It's a tip i got from blue who jonny also tour manages. Duncan told me if you ever meet a girl and you don't want it obvious infront of everyone that you want to hook up afterwards, see Jonny and he'll sort you out.
Have you used Jonny's services on more than one occasion?
[pause] Yes. [laughs]
How many?
Jonny is exhausted. He thought he had alot on his hands managing the four boys. But i think he'll take early retirement after this tour! But i dont have a different girl every night.........(heat raises and eyebrow) I'm just enjoying myself thats all. I havent been drinking like this since university. Through pop idol and the recording of my album i didnt drink. I was really focused on getting my record done. But now i feel i can cut loose a bit more.
You were alot more cagey about your love life back then?
That's because i had a girlfriend i could never talk about.
Heat heard she was called rachel.
She was a girl i still dont think its appropriate to say what her name is.
Why not?
Because her mum asked me to promise that i would never ever pull her into the public eye.
But was she called Rachel?
It doesnt matter if she was called rachel or rosemary or whatever. She was the most amazing girlfriend and really helped me through alot.
So when did you spilt up?
The timing of it doesnt really matter. But if you look back at my interviews over 6 months you can see that when i was asked if i had a girlfriend i said i didnt have time to invest in one.
So was it her decision not to be talked about, not yours?
Yeah. It's not like i was trying to hide the fact that i had a girlfriend. It was quite a difficult emotional sitution. When we spilt up it broke both your hearts.
Are you still in touch with her?
Um.......[pause]. Yes. Although not as much as id like to. It was six months of having someone i was very close to, who was a complete angel in my life and it was tough for me not to be able to acknowledge her.
But things are different now?
Yep. I dont have a girlfriend so i can talk about whatever i want! I'm having fun dating. So much fun! There are so many fit girls around.
Okay - So you snogged one girl on stage and your going to see her again. But there are obviously others.........
[pause] Maybe.....[Leans head back and laughs raucously]. There was one girl i saw before christmas who was wicked. She was a student i met backstage at a radio gig. She was bad. She got me into drinking. Big time. I'd probably still be with her if she wasnt so full on.
In what way was she full on?
Well, right now i can't be in a position where i have a really heavy relationship. She wanted me to be her serious boyfriend and i couldnt do that.
And what about all those stunning models in your videos. Has anything gone on with any of them?
I've erm.....Yeah.[laughs]
What went on with you and Jackie AInsley (very beautiful model from colourblind video). Where you an item when you took her to the just married premiere?
I was dating Jackie but now she's a good friend. when i took her to the premiere it was coming to an end.
She obviously stayed over at yours a bit......(heat produces a paparazzi snap taken outside his house very early in the morning)
[looks shocked] Oh my god! Yes. She looks hot there. I look awful!
So did you take her to the premiere than dump her?
No. it wasn't as clear cut as that. We're just busy doing different things. Anyway all i remember about that night was that i was very itchy.

You know that student i said id been seeing at christmas?
The full-on one?
Yeah her. When we were still together she had a bikini wax, you know a brazilian strip. I'd joked: "theres so little there you might as well take it all off". And she was like: "Well im not taking it all off unless you take it all off." So i agreed. I waxed her and me. And it was painful!
