The Collegian Card

The Collegian card is made specially for all ECESA members which acts as a membership card cum credit card cum discount card. It is a symbol of unity and recognition among all members.

Members will enjoy continuous benefits that RHB card centre has to offer plus at the same time card holders will help the association by contributing RM20 annually.

The Collegian Card Signing Ceremony

Venue: Bankers Club, Wisma Amoda, Jalan Imbi, Kuala Lumpur                 Date: 30 January, 1999, 10.00am

The signing marks the partnership agreement for the issuance of "The Collegian Card" - a VISA Affinity card cum membership card for ECESA members.

The signing was between Tan Sri Abdul Rashid Hussien, Chairman of RHB Capital Bhd. and Director of RHB Bank Bhd. who signed on behalf of RHB Bank Bhd. Whereas, on behalf of ECESA, our President, General (Rtd.) Tan Sri Mohd. Ghazali Seth. This memorable event was graced by the Deputy Youth and Sports Minister, YB Dato' Loke Yuen Yow.

RHB Bank will waive the first year fee of RM70 and will donate RM20 from the subsequent years annual fees back to ECESA for the development of our youth programs.

ECESA "Bersatu ke Alaf Baru" Reunion 1999

Venue: Shangri-La International, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Kuala Lumpur             Date: 5 March, 1999, 8.00pm

In line with the Government's call to unite, the English College Ex-Students Association organised a national scale event to reunite all the ex-English College Students.

The reunion under the "Bersatu Ke Alaf Baru" motto was anticipated by about 650 ex-collegians and teachers since the first pioneer batch when the college was formed in 1914.

Highlights of   the night:-

  • Official launching of the "Collegian Card"

  • Launching of ECESA Official Homepage on the internet

  • A Walk Down Memory Lane

  • Lucky Draw - 34 hampers and prizes were given away

  • Mini Exhibition - exhibits from the Tun Hussien Onn Mini Museum, English College

  • Entertainment - Vanida Imran of "Perempuan Melayu Terakhir" fame accompanied by 7 child dancers, Intrumental Quintet led by Jari, Enhance - English College version of Innuendo and English College very own gamelan group.

ECESA-PIBG Malam Sri Budiman Reunion 2000

Venue: Dewan Hayati, MAWAR, Johor Bahru                                              Date: 9 July, 2000, 8.00pm

This is a first time joint effort by ECESA and EC's PIBG to organise a reunion in Johor Bahru. The overwhelming turnout of almost 1000 guests consisting of ex-students and ex-teachers catching on old times. The guest was entertained by the schools local talent.

The guest of honour was an old student himself, YB Dato' Dr. Shahir Nasir, the State Secretary of Johor. ECESA was represented by YBhg. General(Rtd.) Tan Sri Ghazali Seth and YBhg. Dato' Abdullah Yusof.
