After months of searching for a European vintage car, I was finally convinced to get a Volkswagen, the world's longest running production car and the most recognized model in the planet.
Left: The Volkswagen Factory in Wolfsburg, Germany during the 50's.
Here are the first few pictures I took on the day when I first saw her.. The deal was closed in less than an hour... I even had to go to the ATM to make a PhP 10,000.00 downpayment..
Interior
The inside.. Unlike other models, the 1973 and 74 Super Beetles had the leather dashboard and curved windhield.. (check that out, no cracks!!)
Outside Body
Profile shot... Looking pretty good, considering it hasn't been used for 5 years... We'll see...
Engine
Where's the radiator?!?!?!! Oh yeah, it's air-cooled.. 1600cc Engine.. Almost completely stock...
Findings: Engine was in running condition when tested and the over all body looks 85% okay,  No damage on all fenders, (original top dashboard perfect.. not a single crack!) .. The main issue is the flooring which needs to be replaced immediately, a lot of rust and tiny holes.. Not safe to drive around and bring to Manila.

The week before Holy Week, I applied my SuperBug for  AAP Membership (Automobile Association of the Philippines). They provide towing services for free within Metro Manila and also capable of giving 24-hour roadside assistance. Of course the towing from Bulacan to Manila won't be free, but it's the best move since I won't be able to drive the car around because of the unsafe rusty flooring.
