"Since the bug couldn't  driven to Manila, I had to get an expert to check it out in Bulacan."

A week after I purchased the Volkswagen, I asked a couple of VW experts to check out my SuperBug parked at our provincial home in Plaridel, Bulacan. The first guy who inspected the SuperBug was Jon Porto, a  VW-guru I met in front of his house as I was driving along Panay Ave. days earlier.  Jon estimates that the job can be done in 12 to 14 months, and said that it will take a little longer since he also had several ongoing projects and that the rainy season would delay operations.  I told Jon that I would think about it and inform him when I make my decision.

S
ome days later, a cousin of mine called to inform me that he knows another man who can do the job. His wife's cousin in-law owns a shop in Bacoor, Cavite. The guy's name: Boyet Del Rosario, another well-respected VW expert, based in Cavite.  A schedule with Boyet was set the following week.

After Boyet's assesment, he immediately gave me a rough estimate on how much restoration would cost,  including a target date of completion. He said that he would also be willing to give me a big discount since we were like family. We shook hands, and the deal was made.

The following weekend would be the beginning of my SuperBug's new life, I called the AAP to schedule the transport..
