When I looked around for a webring a father could join, I couldn't find a suitable one. That is not to say that there are no webrings that will accept fathers' homepages. But the point of joining a webring is to join your homepage with homepages of similar types and topics. I wanted a webring where dads were prominent. There wasn't one, like I said, so I decided to create several!

I created one webring for each fatherhood issue that was important to me. I am 23 years old, so I created a 20ish Daddies webring. I was 17 when my first baby was born, so I created a Teen Daddies webring. My second born are twins, so I created a Twins' Daddies webring. I am a single father to my kids, so I created a Single (custodial) Daddies webring. I have successfully reclaimed a child given up for adoption, so I created an Adoption Halt & Reclaim webring.

You may only join Teen Daddies if you are currently 19 or younger. You may only join 20ish Daddies if you are currently 20-29, even if your children were born when you were a teen. The other three webrings are for fathers of any age. The Twins' Daddies webring is for dads of all multiples, not just twins.

If I find that there are other fatherhood issues that might make for a good webring idea, I'd be happy to create and manage. As I explained, I created webrings based only on issues that I personally dealt with in my life. I realize that there are non-custodial fathers, weekend fathers, widowed fathers... etc., out there, and I would be happy to create and manage webrings on those topics, if you like the way I run my webrings or want to be part of a webring set. I need is a few requests, just so I know there is interest in a webring for a particular topic.
