Home Performance/Specs Specs and Mods on my 325is Tech Tips Photo Gallery
My car came equipped with the optional sport package. This included leather M3 luxury power sport seats, and an M Technic suspension (stiffer and shorter springs, stiffer shocks and thicker anti-sway bars). This served to give the car a lower stance than a regular 325i. It is a very nice suspension-compliant and handles well. And even though it was designed by the Mototsports division, it still was no M3 suspension. I hang out a lot at the E36 messageboard and happened upon a great deal. A 1995 M3 suspension for only $300! My friend Luis was upgrading his beautiful 1995 M3 Lux and was parting out his suspension. It came with shocks, struts, springs and the swaybars. But I soon discovered this was going to be a straight bolt on. There are a few M3 parts that I need to make this a sucessful conversion. So again I turned to the helpful and knowledgable people on the board and got a list of the parts I need. Many thanks go out to Rob Yap and Steve Walsh for the info and to Luis Rueda on the M3 board for the suspension! Installation will be done by Benchmark Motors in Columbia MD.

I will update this page with before and after pics and more info when the conversion is completed.
For anyone interested in doing this conversion, here is a list of parts needed (again, thanks to Rob Yap and Steve Walsh)
