Key arena Seattle, Washington October 9th, 2005 �Shadows like Statues� by Matchbook Romance begins with its slow introduction. A scene opens with old cut-ups of old MXW tape. From the old owner Xas, to the new owner, Jason James standing above the rosters of the MXW, the progress of the e-fed is shown. As the song begins to pick up, old MXW matches are shown. A slow motion Irish whip is shown of Big TJ Mak Irish whipping Slacker into barbed wire ropes, but as soon as he�s about to hit the barbed ropes, the slow motion cuts out and it returns to normal speed. The impact is huge, as the footage cuts to Slacker jumping off the top rope in a Five Star Frog Splash in slow motion. As soon as he begins to come down, the slow motion stops and returns to normal speed, showing his huge impact on Nugent. Old tag teams like M&M and Sykotik are shown, fighting Wolfram and his partner. A powerbomb through a table is shown. Chairshots echo. Sledgehammers to the head are mixed with jumping and flying maneuvers. Old wrestlers like Giganto and Incredible are shown fighting. The old mercenary group of BUX is shown taking over the MXW, kidnapping Mak�s wife, Elizabeth. Finally, the scenes come to the entire old roster of the MXW beating up two ex-members, High Flyer and Giganto, tossing them into concrete walls and powerbombing them through windshields, even off truck loading ramps. The old cut-up footage ends with Big TJ Mak posing with the old MXW title belt�. �.�Cold Cash and Colder Hearts� by Thrice hits as new scenes fade in. Jason James at his press conference is shown, with him announcing matches. He announces the MXW Xtreme Championship match, between ten superstars. The ten superstars faces flash on the screen. Next, Jason is shown announcing the MXW�s sexiest wrestler match. Cole Bradstreet is shown with Brink and Risk, as Bastian Rayne is shown talking to his ex-partner, Simon Lyman and girl, Daisy. The scene fades out. Jason announces the tag team title, ladder match. The Lee Brothers are shown getting on stage at the Warped Tour, but that footage is interrupted by Derek Marks talking about his partner, then by Axl O�Neil leaving his former teammates. Next, Jason James� footage at the podium announces Barry Stevens making his MXW debut against Andrew Flash at which a clock is shown running down the time before the match. The footage from the press conference shows Jason announcing a Lumberjack match, between The King, who�s footage is shown of his henchmen beating up the Burger King, and Sugar Hill, who�s entourage is shown styling him up. Back to Jason�s footage announcing the MXW title match to be Big TJ Mak against the winner of a triple threat match. Mr. Reality is shown threatening the boss, Jason, and calling for a Hardcore match against Mak. Next, Christopher Riggs is shown wanting a straight up match with Mak. Lastly, Shane Broden�s footage of wanting to put their Main Event status titles on the line, letting Mak pick the stipulation. Jason James footage is shown one more time, as the music starts to build up. Jason announces the Six Man Elimination Match for the MXW New Era title. As he announces each person, their picture flashes on the screen. Xas! Xas is shown shooting his gun at his range. Nugent! Nugent is seen eating cheese with his dog and girlfriend. Brian Gunn! Brian is shown talking on the phone. Storm! Storm is shown throwing Nugent into a hallway wall. Slacker! Slacker is shown flying off the top rope in an old wrestling match tape�.as the screaming in the music gets hardcore, Jason is shown one last time�.. and me! Jason James! All the men�s footage is shown at the same time, getting faster and faster and then it stops with the music�� an orchestra is playing softly as Jason�s smile is shown, and then fades into the MXW logo. --The pyro shoots off as the capacity crowd goes nuts!!! The arena is filled with fireworks and smoke and screaming. The cameras pan the entire arena, showing the ring set up down the aisle of a giant Titan Tron. The theme song blares throughout the building as it seems the floor is shaking. Signs pop up throughout the crowd saying their favorite wrestler�s names or sayings.� Jonathan Porter: Oh my f�n God!!!! This is absolutely amazing!!! We are back!!! Kenny Klarksen: You�re damn right it�s amazing!!!! This is the MX f�n W!!!! How more exciting could it get here?? The crowd�s loving this! I�m loving this! There�s no better feeling than being here, live! And boy do we have a special treat sitting next to me right now, for all those old-time MXW fans, and his name is Carl Jones!!! Carl Jones: Damn straight! They thought they could get rid of me� no chance in hell, my friends. Tonight is going to be great. It may not be as good as the old days, but it should be a good show! --The pyro ends and everyone seems to be settling down. The crowd sits, but can be heard talking.-- Jonathan: If you�ve seen the card for tonight, you�d know that tonight is a night of greatness!! All the title belts will be on the line tonight. That could be history in itself. Kenny: New comers everywhere, Jon! All across the world they�ve come to the land of opportunity, and that land is MXW, and it is oh so sweet. Carl: Yeah, they look alright� if you like that kind of shit. I like the old wrestlers better to tell you the truth. Big TJ Mak, for instance, is back, you better watch your back! Even Slacker is back, as well as that retard, Nugent! Kenny: So you don�t have any hope for the new additions to the roster. I mean, this is the most the MXW�s ever had! Carl: It�s quality, Ken, not quantity. Back in the day, we had a small roster, but our men could fight with every bone in their body. If these new boys don�t have it in their hearts, they won�t have anything to shown that I haven�t seen somewhere else. Jonathan: If you had to pick, Carl, who would you say you�re most looking forward to see debut tonight? Carl: Debut? Well of course the man that everyone is waiting for to debut. That man! --Carl points up at the Titan Tron as a timer is shown counting down. It�s at 00:58:39.-- Kenny: Barry Stevens?! Carl: No! Barry �Scary Barry� Stevens!!! Kenny: Are you kidding? Carl: Hell no! He�s amazing. The best in the business as far as new comers come. Jonathan: But he�s so�. Kenny: FAT!! Carl: I like it. And he�s got balls, challenging probably the biggest new comer of them all, Andrew Flash. Jonathan: Well, if comes out of that one, it should be a huge upset. Carl: I know, if Flash wins, it will certainly be a huge upset! Jonathan: No, I meant the other way�. Kenny: Anyways, this should be a great night of happenings. --The lights flicker as they talk, and sudden in loud words, the arena echoes with �THIS IS NOT A TEST!� The crowd pops as they know this music. �Falling Apart� by Trust Company hits and the crowd screams. Out through the curtain walks Frequency, the commissioner. He walks down the ramp and walks the stairs to the ring. Asking for a microphone, he watches the crowd go crazy for him.-- Frequency: Think I was gone? --The crowd responds by chatting �Freq-uen-cy! Freq-uen-cy!� He just smiles.-- Frequency: The commish is back! And it couldn�t have been any more wonderful. --The crowd is still cheering.-- Frequency: Now settle down, you never gave me this ovation in the old days! --The crowd seems taken aback by this statement. Some people stop cheering, others boo, but the majority is still cheering.-- Frequency: But I�m not here to talk about old times and horrible memories. This is a new era and I want to start it off right. I heard my name being thrown around in the office and locker room, and many of you wonder where I�ve been. The only thing I have to say is I�ve been working as hard as humanly possible to work the behind the scenes of the MXW, making it the best it could ever be� lining up shows, talent, columns, magazines, t-shirts, all of that good stuff. But I�ve obvious been lacking on my commissionership skills. Look at tonight�s card! All the titles are on the line tonight, between many great men and many great matches. --Frequency paces in the ring as the crowd clamors about all the great matches.-- Frequency: But I didn�t make one of those matches! Jason James did. His first order of business was to bring me back as commissioner and I failed him. He asked me to make decisions and I ignored him! And I�d love to say it was unintentional. But I would love to start the new era off with a clear conscience and that would be lying. Jason, I got all your messages, all your faxes, and all your memos. And I deleted, shredded, and threw them all away. Because in this new era I will not take shit from anyone! Especially you, Jason! I will do what I want, when I want, and how I want to. So my first order of business is to bring out the man I�ve appointed myself as manager of; a man that hates you just as much as I do, Jason. His name is D�Griff!!! --�Step Up� by Drowning Pool hits as the crowd goes wild for the English man. He walks out in grungy clothing and is smoking a cigarette, as we heads down the ramp. He gets into the ring with the steps and flicks ashes on the apron before getting into the ring. Frequency is clapping for him as he steps into the ring. The music plays for a little longer and then settles down.-- Frequency: Ladies and gentlemen, this man will win the Xtreme title tonight and after he does, I am awarding him a shot at the MXW title on Friday Fusion, this Friday! And not only will he win, but he will become the first double champion of the new era! --The crowd cheers for this. D�Griff shows no emotion and continues to smoke his cigarette, which is getting pretty low.-- Frequency: So the other nine wrestlers who take part in the Turmoil match tonight, know this! If you step in the way of D�Griff, it�s going to be D�End of you! --The crowd cheers, Before they start to leave the ring, someone else�s music hits. �Last Resort� by Papa Roach hits and the crowd goes crazy!!! A blank screen on the Titan Tron is replaced by an arriving limousine. The limo pulls up through the dark night outside. The driver gets out and opens the door for the man. Out walks a new face. Frequency is shown with an angry look on his face. D�Griff is simply looking up at the screen, lighting another cigarette. The new face smiles when he sees the camera. His long black hair tied back out of his face.-- Newcomer: Well hello, Frequency, D�Griff. --The music continues to play.-- Newcomer: You don�t know me yet, but I�m the question marks in the ten man Xtreme title match. And you thought you had a big return being manager? Well I brought an even bigger one. So �consider yourself warned�! --Frequency�s mouth is open and he looks shocked as the unknown man disappears off the screen. The door to the limo is left open but the camera fades out. D�Griff doesn�t seem to care at all as Frequency looks worried.-- Jonathan: Does this mean what I think it means? Carl: What? That D�Griff�s a chain smoker? Jonathan: No! Did you hear what that new guy said at the end of his promo? Carl: He �brought a big one�? We knew you�d like that, Jon. Kenny: He means �consider yourself warned�. That�s a saying made popular by one man! Carl: Who is this guy? And why�s he in the match if we don�t even know him? Jonathan: I don�t know, but this place is about to explode and we haven�t even had a match yet. Frequency doesn�t seem to like the way his entrance was intruded upon. Kenny: How can he hate man that employs him? Jason brought him back. He�s brought him back everytime. Carl: I�ll tell you now, I love Jason James. Not sexually, but as a man, he is amazing, He employed me again, and that�s smart business decisions right there. I was sitting on my couch for three years, waiting for a call from him, and now that MXW�s new era has begun, I�m glad as hell to be back. |
