PAIN
You don't understand
No one does
When he left
So did a chunk of her soul
But she had to be strong
Had to carry on the family
Now they have all healed
And she is left
Cold and all alone
For she has no more strength
Heartless!
As she pushes everyone away
They can't enter this heart
So vacant and miserable it has become
No one can love her
For though she wishes it
She pushes it away
No love=no pain
What little of her heart is left
Cannot be taken away
If no one is let in
Everyone who wishes to love her is spurned
As she continues to live in this misery
No one knows
Can't comprehend her sorrows
As all they see is joy
Fake though it may be
For she is overcome with loneliness
Even her own mother
Is not allowed to love her
Her parents have hurt her, too
And now she can love no other
Everyone she's loved has gone
Vacating her soul
The inner being
That defines who she is
An empty vessel
Now, forsaken and forlorn
She meets misery one more time
As she lays her head for the last time
Against this tear-soaked pillow
Nothing will come after this sleep
Unending dreams, never waking
Finally the tears have ceased
