Strat-O-Matic Baseball League

The Juiced Ball League of Peoria, Illinois, was founded in 1981 and is one of the oldest face-to-face Strat-O-Matic baseball leagues in the midwest. The league plays an 80-game schedule.
The 2005 season did not take place. There was no draft. Cards weren't ordered. The commissioner (used in the past tense under the prevailing circumstances) did not even extend the courtesy of contacting dedicated league members to ask if they would be interested in conducting business again in '05. Ultimately, the commissioner was guilty of the same crime that he had accused so many others of in the past. He lost interest. He was too busy. He couldn't juggle the complications of life. So he decided, without informing the rest, that the league was to go dark. JBL Calender Of Events April 4: 2004 JBL Season Begins June 13: Tom Jaggard hosting Strat Fest August 1: JBL Trade Deadline or when your team has completed 60 Games, whichever comes first October 31: JBL Regular-Season Ends Juiced Ball League Headlines 2004 Schedule. Teams will play each opponent 16 times for a total of 80 games. This breaks down as four 4-game series (2 home, 2 road). This also means that the fatigue threshold for relief pitchers is 7 innings for all series. Infield Corners In. The league has adopted, by a vote of 4-2, the Infield Corners In Rule. Strat Card Corrections Nomar Garciaparra (Bos) should be a B stealing, not an E. Rafael Furcal (Atl) should be an A stealing, not an E. Jason Bay (Pit) has an incorrect injury combo; vs LHP his injury should be moved from reading 1-7 to 3-11, vs RHP his injury should be moved from reading 2-7 to 2-11. Roster sheet error; Under the section for pitchers running ratings Adam Bernero is missing his rating, he should be a 1-12. Welcome back to the league Jerry Smith, who previously operated the Four C's franchise from 1996-2001 and won a league championship in 1998. Jerry is one of the most astute evaluators of cards in the history of the league and will take over the roster of Last Rites, re-named the Javaswillers. His contact information can be found in the Owners Directory. The duration of an injury is now calculated to include the game during which a player is injured. When reporting scores please continue to include the rotations of both teams with your game results. Remember that all Unplayed Games will be counted as losses in the standings and victories in the draft regardless of whose at fault for the games going unplayed.
