| This disused lighthouse is situated on the beach at Talacre in the county of Flintshire on the North Wales Coast. Although the walkway that leads to the entrance is accsessable, the lighthouse is NOT open to the public. Portable operation on the day took place from a wet sandy car parking area across the sand dunes on the landward side of the beach. The beach itself IS NOT accesable by vehicle. Operating date for 2003 was 23rd April, operation took place on 40meters using a Kenwood TS570DG 10watts TX power and a G5RV antenna as an inverted vee. Contact was made with many stations from around the UK. A special QSL card is available to all stations contacted on the day, and also to SWL's who send in reception reports. |
