Membership in this Association shall be limited to families in the area and such Honorary Members, as the Board shall approve. Constant recruitment of new members shall be conducted. Additional members shall be accepted at any time. Removal of residence from area shall automatically revoke membership. Membership in this Association shall not preclude membership in other organizations dealing with local affairs.

The Association shall represent those individuals and communities not represented by other local civic organizations in an area in Fairfax County, Virginia, bounded by Fort Belvoir, the Potomac River, Little Hunting Creek and Route No. 1, being the area in which several of George Washington's farms were located.
