Assalam-o-Alaikum everyone,

Scientific and technological development of the Muslim world is a dire need of the hour. Self dependence in technology is always dependent upon a well-established research infra-structure. Therefore, to ensure sustainable progress and developments in the arena of science and technology, research in Muslim countries must be conducted according to the domestic needs.

The Muslim world has never been short of talent in this line. It was not so long ago that Muslim scientists dominated the world in their grip on science and technology. Even today, many well-known established Muslim researchers are working in various areas of the world including the developed countries. Thanks to cyberspace, now it is possible to provide a platform to link these researchers up with the students and researchers working in similar fields back in the Muslim countries in order to ensure better cooperation and meaningful research and development in the Muslim world.

Another issue is of bringing awareness among the Muslims about any existing research in universities and research organizations of the Muslim world. This can be especially significant for those individuals that might want to study or work in another Muslim country. Given the cultural similarities, same rules concerning Halal food etc, many researchers might feel more at home working in Muslim countries if promising research opportunities in their field could be highlighted.

Further, Muslim researchers visiting non-Muslim countries on conference / recreational visits often face the problem of identifying Halal food available in the alien environment. A central database of Haram ingredients in processed food in various languages depending upon the countries is being started by our Muslim Researchers association. Gradually, with the help of participating Muslim students/researchers associations located in different parts of the world, we aim to expand the list. Further, a database about restaurants serving Halal food in various cities of the world is also being started in the same way.

In order to link up Muslim researchers working in various areas of the world, we are operating mailing lists of Muslim Researchers association. Please join our main mailing list at:

Main Mailing list: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/muslim_researchers/

If you are a Muslim Researcher working in any part of the world and are interested in research collaboration for uplifting of the standard of research in Muslim countries, please join us. To contact us you can also write to [email protected] . Members and office bearers of Muslim Students Associations of various parts of the world are especially requested to contact us so that they can also be made a part of the Muslim Researchers Affiliated Organizations Network for mutually beneficial tasks for Muslim scientists and researchers living in various parts of the world.
