Prof.B. Sheik Ali Professor Sheik Ali is a distinguished historian of India who has authored over twenty books. Being an alumni of three Universities, Mysore, Aligarh and London, he held high positions in the academic field teaching for over three decades both in Mysore and in U.S.A. He gained reputation as an educationist having called upon to set up two new Universities, one in Mangalore and the other in Goa, where he worked for over a decade as the first Vice-chancellor. |

| A widely traveled scholar, he earned many
distinctions being elected as President of several academic bodies both at
national and international level. He is the recipient of quite a few
awards as a historian and an educationist including a D. Litt., Degree (Hon. Causa). Lately he has taken to social work having set up an institution, Sultan Shaheed Education Trust, which is active educating the poorer section of the society. He is also editing an Urdu Quarterly, Noor-e-Barseerath, devoted exclusively to the promotion of education. |
