Paris concert rumours unfounded
Media rumours reported to us by French fans according to which the concert at Parc Des Princes on June 15th would be cancelled or moved are officially exposed as a 'red herring':
As the RHCP tour agent confirmed today (1st March 04) tickets sales are going well, the show is 100% going ahead and no-one has even thought of cancelling!

To take the easy introduction, a shadow first collided with Frusciante when, in 1992, he quit the Red Hot Chili Peppers and sunk into the self-doubt and drug dependency which almost cost him his life. Frusciante, carrying the weight of this rock mythic baggage, also has the weight of expectation as one of the most versatile guitarists (punk, funk, prog, pop) of his generation. Since 1995�s Niandra Ladies and Usually Just a T-Shirt solo debut, I�ve regularly swung between love (the scattered complexities amid the simplistic sketches) and hate (the playing sometimes resembles the overindulgences of a brainfried Lindsey Buckingham).

Pixies Sell Out

This Pixies two London shows this summer sold out in hours. They are also playing at T In The Park (Scotland) in July as well as supporting the Red Hot Chili Peppers in Paris and Dublin. No other dates have yet been confirmed.

In the UK on MTV2 this month there will be a selection of chilis programs

On the Biography channel in the UK there should be a RHCP shown, dates and times are as follows:

This was meant to be shown last december but the schedule was changed and this was cancelled, so fingers crossed they air it this time.

2/03/2004:Pixies in Ireland

The Pixies will reunite for the first time in over ten years to perform their only Irish date at Phoenix Park on Saturday 12th June 2004 as special guests with Red Hot Chili Peppers. Source MCD.

One of the 80's most influential alternative bands, the Pixies, have been announced as special guest for the Red Hot Chili Peppers gig at Parc Des Princes, Paris on 15th of June!

PlayStation 2 closed the lounge series on Saturday afternoon with Camp Freddy -- Dave Navarro (Jane's Addiction), Matt Sorum (Guns n' Roses), Billy Morrison (The Cult), Jerry Cantrell (Alice in Chains), Steve Stevens, Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Donovan Leitch -- at the PlayStation 2 Rendez-vous.

They play really really short clips from some chili songs all together and you've gotta name them all. It sounds really easy, but the clips are at longest a second.

Red Hot Rhythm Method

Chad's Red Hot Rhythm Method has now made it onto DVD. It's packed with extras including live footage and out-takes. One of the only negatives about it in a review in UK's Drummer magazine was that it doesn't include reels and reels of Chad showing his 100% ability but instead focus's on playing for the song... something the reviewer fully agreed with.

2 more interesting pieces of rhcp gig trivia concerning UK: As you know they ve sold a quarter of a million tickets in just four hours. That is roughly 17 tickets a second!!! And although few bands have ever played there and no-one has ever sold out two shows there. It is a first for Red Hot Chili Peppers.
