Almost any type of music can be used with a film. This makes it very important to clearly describe the context of the composition or series of extracts in detail. The link between the music and what is to be seen on screen should be very clear.

• create an improvisation followed by a 16 bar composition.
• follow a film title and story line
• There could be linking themes involving characters liet motif

• A library of music for an imaginary series of films
• Several short extracts, each forming one minute of music.

•  A bridge linking two different moods
• two treatments of the same scene giving it a different fee

Write a short story with lots of characteristic ideas for movement and action. This should be turned into a continuous piece of film music where musical phrases  support the action on screen.
