Grey Cat
Sitting on my balcony, early in the morning, I spotted a grey cat facing directly at me, beneath the leaves of a bird-of-paradise. He reached up with his paws to grab a stalk and bring it down. Three times he waved this flag, then let go. I could see the glint of morning sun in his eyes. He seemed an omen. Grammy who lives in the apartment above the bird-of-paradise, went into hospital for excessive bleeding around this time -- unbeknownst to us. May 2005
