Editor's Message - May 2005

Greetings to poetry  lovers and book lovers!

I received three chapbooks in the month of May. One from Tennessee, Wisconsin and California.

In this Spring - May  2005 issue, the editor gives a poem review to eleven poems. I gave short comments on the poems 
Randy Redmond, Alan Catlin, Rewa Fyles, Rhina Espaillat, Mark Stellinga and Joseph Powell. (See Poem Review Section.)

We have new poems nominated for Muses Review - Best Poem of the Year 2004.

We have a  guest reviewer from Wisconsin in the person of
Charles P. Ries who reviews the poetrybook of Joseph Farley entitled Suckers. I also give a long review of Randy Redmond's poetry book "Tears rolling down the heartstring".

Our featured  poet for May  is
LB Sedlacek  from North Carolina  who is the author of the book of poems- "Hemlock Suicides Planned by Well-Dressed Men In Suits"

The deadline for the nomination for 1st Muses Review Awards 2005   (Muses Prize 2005)  is on May 30, 2005.

The 2nd Muses Review Awards or Muses Prize 2006 will begin on June 1, 2005 and end tentatively on Dec 31, 2005. Only poetrybooks/chapbooks/poems published in 2005 are eligible for Muses Prize 2006.
