Hi! My name is Lindsey Williams Hammack. I am the band director at Paducah Middle School. I have a great job--sharing the love of music with my band students, grades 6-8. I have been in Murr-Vegas for several years. Time flies when you're having fun. Our band has been on quite a journey already--and we're still going strong! My musical 'career' began when I was 6 years old, when I started piano lessons. I have been playing the trombone since I was in the 4th grade. I continued playing and singing into my high school and college years. I went to Murray State University from 1998-2003 and graduated with a degree in Music Education. While I was at Murray, I played in Jazz Ensembles I & II, MSU Orchestra, MSU Symphonic Band, MSU Racer Band and Pep Band, and was a member of the Trombone Choir. I have been a member of several bands in the past, including Phatty's Last Stand and the Paducah Jazz Ensemble. I LOVE playing gigs with Murr-Vegas. I also enjoy long walks with my dog Jazzy, and attending various concerts and music related activities with my husband Brad. If you haven't seen the Murr-Vegas All Stars play before, you definitely need to make it a point to come see us! You won't regret it and you will have a blast!
