Samoyeds Future Plans PPpPPPlansLatest News

Who
knows what the future brings?! One thing we have learned is that you can never
count on anything.
Having been a relatively successful, well established Samoyed kennel, within 12-18
months we went to a kennel with no breeding age bitches and thus no future. The
moral of the story is "never put all your eggs in one basket" - and
we never intend to again!
Tobolsk Samoyeds came to our rescue with Ch Tobolsk Lady in Silk at Murmansk.
However all was not plain sailing at the first attempt at breeding with a total
litter mortality rate. Her next litter was born healthy, but with hip problems
in the pick of the litter, it was heartbreaking. The dilemma is whether to try
again.
We owe a huge debt to Kalnovitch Samoyeds for offering us a puppy which went
back to some of our lines, and for supplying us with such a quality bitch in
Ch Kalnovitch Nova Kazia.
We took delivery of Sunmist Cuvee Riccadonna in September 2006 from Janet Ainscow in Australia and then Murmansk Tatania stayed from our litter with Ch Kalnovitch Nova Kazia (Liv). The puppies, being close in age - 7 months and 4 months - are great friends.
Several years ago we imported frozen semen from our namesake kennel in Scotland and on 28 September 2007 Ch Kalnovitch Nova Kazia (Liv) took delivery of two puppies by elective caesarian. Very large, healthy puppies - a male and a female. All looked great but things don't always go to plan and we have one gorgeous bitch from the long awaited litter. Murmansk Sorcerer's Aprentiz (Murron) is the apple of her mother's eye and just very quietly - our's too! So we are able to look forward to the future in more ways than one.....
