Its creeping up on a year since I got this simulation and im still hanging on to the hope that we will get a second patch. After reviewing the SimHQ forums regarding what relative time we could expect a 2nd service patch for Strike Fighters, I emailed TK from Thirdwire. Here is the response which I was happy to recieve:
"Dear Peter,

Thank you for your interest in our project!  We do appreciate
your input and feedback.

We are currently working on a second patch that provides
additional enhancements and fixes based on user feedback.
This will be released as soon as it goes through the QA
process.

As with any QA process, we do not have a fixed date for its
completion.  Most users have communicated to us that they
would rather wait and receive a patch that is fully tested
than a partially tested patch delivered on a fixed date. So
we're taking extra time to make sure the patch does fix all
the issues we want addressed without breaking anything else.

Now, seems a bit form letterish ; but I did get it directly from TK ; so at least we know he is alive and kicking and working on the second patch amidst several other projects.
