Consider is what furniture will be alongside the mural -
generally for beds/cots  & chests of drawers, the bottom third of the mural will be
obstructed, so the majority of the detail will be in the top two thirds of the wall.

Choosing a generic theme rather than a specific character will mean the child won't outgrow the mural as quickly

Look  at your child's favourite books or even their quilt cover for inspiration!
