My name is Mayur Mudigonda. I was born in the
balmy bustling city of Chennai, the mecca of Information Technology and
Carnatic Music, in Southern India and also one of the areas devasted by
the Tsunami.
My schooling years have been an eye-opening and enriching experience. I had the privilege in studying at one of the premier institutions in India at Baroda, Gujrat. Through the course of my high schooling I had the opportunity to witness both the 'Destructive Earth Quake' of 2000 and the 'Riots' of 2002. Both events are still clearly etched in my mind. The pre and post trauma periods gave me a glimpse of the strengths and weaknesses of mankind. Thus, I have learnt early in life that it is impractical not to expect evils to exist in society and in ones own self. Yet, seeing these evils we ourselves should not despair nor should we despise those who have been consumed. It also serves as a reminder to us, to introspect from time to time one's morals and principles. I am a firm believer of Optimization, not unlike the Octospiders on the Raman space colony, by Arthur C Clarke, and have striven to formulate structured plans for most of activities. This dynamic rule based system which we humans are inherently born with has always fascinated and inspired me. Thus unknowingly I have been drawn towards the field of Artificial Intelligence and hope to work in the field in the future. Who knows may be in time we might become the Ramans..... |
