Sintang Regency

Sintang Regency as river city with the Kapuas an Melawi rivers and picturesque Kelam Mountian National Park enriched by multi - culture populations makes it bustle, vogorous city and renowned with tis Regional Susilo Airport.
The huge stone outcrop forms a spectacular natural back drop for the city knows as Bukit Kelam (Dark Hill), Steel stair escend the  mountain's side offering a road for adventurous visitor.
The Natioan Park and Reserve of  Bukit Baka and Bukit Raya is home of the world's largest flower Rafflesia and kantong semar merah (Nephentes sp). Dara Juanti, one of the Sintang royal Kingdom is currently wellknown as a Museum housing a vast collection of artifact and historical object.

Kelam Hill or Dark Hill National Park

This huge stone outcrop forms a spectacular natural back drop for the city of Sintang. Covering and area of 520 square kilometers and rising some 900 meters (3,000 ft) from the plain below. Kelam (dark in Indonesia) begins to wear its characteristic shroud of cloud by mild afternoon becoming a brooding, spellbinding image.
Held sacred by the local Dayak tha inhabit the mountain's  flank in the traditional Longhouse, Kelam offers a stunning view from its summit.
This areas is a natural destination for the tourist interest  in the climbing , camping or hiking around the  mountain's side offering a route for adventurous visitor.
The pristine area surrounding also wellknown with its Kantong Semar Merah (Nephentes sp). Kelam teems with wildlife and beautiful flora. Kelam can be reched from Sintang, the 15 kms traveled using public transportation.
Rest pavillion and coffe shops are located nearby for weary traveller.



Bukit Raya - Bukit Baka National Park

Bordering Sarawak , Malaysia and Central Kalimantan and covering an area of 181,090 square kilometers, this natioanl park is home to the largest flower in the world, Rafflesia - sp (the named after Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles) and is richly endowed  by nature with rainforest, rugged landscapeds, mountains and meandering rivers.
An abundance of in land waterways offer andless opprtunity for bathing, boating, waterskiing, birdwaching and fishing.
The Combination of the delightful climate , flora from the dipterocarpaceae family dominated by shorea.spp, agathis homencis and some from Myrtaceae and Sapotasea. However, rafflesia sp are also can be seen and such fauna Burung Enggang Gading (Buceros vigil), Beruang Madu (Helarctos malayanus), Macan Dahan (Neofalis nebolusa), Babi Hutan (Susharbatus), and Kancil ( (Tragulus sp) and Kelempiau /Owa (Hylobathes agilis) con 900 tribute greatly to the visitor enjoying their journey. Easily accessible from Sintang - Nanga Pinoh by 4 WD approx 1.5 hours or 2 hours from Nanga Pinoh Popai by Longboat.



Baning National Park

Right in the heart of Sintang City, Baning National Park is easily accessible for visitors and residents alike. With its uniques ecosystem , virgin tropical rain forest and breathtaking panoramis view a quite oasis.
