Indian Classical
Dance has been very much a part of Hinduism. In our Temple, the home
of Muneeswaran (and therefore also Nadarajah) classical dancing is inculcated
to girls from the age of 8. Our Indian Classical Dance classes have
been around in our Temple since May 1999. Under the well-known Dance
Master, Mr M Chandran, about 20 children are currently learning the
art of Bharathanatiyam. These children have performed at various Temples
for Navarathri and other significant religious ceremonies. With the
completion of the Multi-Purpose Hall, these children would be better
equipped to practise and perform on the Meenatchi Kalyanam Manavarai
Stage.
(Indian Classical Dance classes are conducted in our Temple every Sunday
afternoon from 2.00pm to 4.00pm)
