Thevaram is an integral part of Hinduism and has to be taught to the young at a very tender age. Our Temple is proud to have with us a very dedicated young man, Mr M Sivakumar who has earned the title of "Thirumurai Chellvan". There are about 50 Thevaram students, from 4 to 5 years up to 18 years. This year, we were the Champions of the Inter-Temple Thevaram Group, after ending up as Runners-Up in 1999. In addition, our Temple students were also winners in two out of the four individual categories at stake. Our target is now to win all four individual categories in the year 2001.
