| The "Saraswathy Vidyarathana" a pooja dedicated to Goddess Saraswathy, the Goddess of the Arts, was conducted at our Temple for the first time in 1999. Parents and students expressed an overwhelming support and some 450 students participated in the pooja. |

Hinduism is the religion of over a billion Hindus, who live mostly in India, but have large population in many countries of the world. Hinduism is a natural way of life. It is not a man made religion, not founded by anyone or by any prophet and is not preached and nurtured by any leader. Hinduism is not a constructed main road. It is a self formed foot path trodden by the continous walking of the masses by their own will and choice. Hinduism is never imposed on anybody at anytime and is one religion that never believes in conversion. It wants everybody to realise the Almighty by his own will. This is the remarkable feature and nature of Hinduism.
Hinduism is a very accommodating and compassionate religion. Co-existence
with other religions with respect and humbleness is the core of the
Hindu way of life. Hindus not only love their neighbours but they
also love and pray for everyone. A Hindu life is meant for humanity
and is achieved through uplifting of one's Morality. Unlike people
of other religious faiths Hindus regard the mother, the father , the
teacher and other elders as God |

Donation Draw

| A donation draw is to beheld on 18 June 2000. It is hoped to rais some S$200,000.The organization of the draw is yet another effort towards funding the cost of the construction of the multi-purpose hall, the second phase of the Temple Building Project. We appeal to all Singaporeans to lend a help hin hand. Besides purchasing tickets, you could assist in selling them. The best way to world peace is simply the wholehearted devotion t the Philosophy and the practice of non-violence. A peaceful heart and a non-violent mind can help contribute much to world peace.
