The aims
in setting up the Indian Interaction Committee, (for 'O' and 'A' level
holders) and Indian Social Committee (for graduates) are very much in
line with that of the Social Development Unit in Singapore. The youths
have fraternised with each other and many internalised marriages have
taken place amongst them inadvertently. Formed in 1988, this committee
has held various monthly activities and 'Dinner and Dances'. Amongst
their activities include Deepavali Nite and Valentine's Day Tea-Dance.
They have even organised fun tours to various parts of Malaysia and
South East Asia.
