| Brief Historical Background of the Pedro E. Diaz High School (PEDHS) PEDHS is located at the National Road, Alabang. It was first known as the annex of Fort Bonifacio College situated then at Soldiers Hills Village, Putatan, Muntinlupa. Due to financial and administrative problems, February 1980, a resolution was passed converting the school into the Muntinlupa Municipal High School. On December 2, 1991, then Mayor Ignacio R. Bunye and the Sangguniang Bayan members signed Resolution #91-233 renaming it to Pedro E. Diaz High School, an honour and a tribute to Hon. Pedro Espeleta Diaz, a former Mayor of this town, who was brutally killed by the Japanese during his term in defense of his townmates. The school inside a garden vision of everyone is half-way realized as tree planting, food production, and waste management activities are vigorously pursued by the administration, teachers and students. The vision of the school is to produce quality students of Maka-Diyos, Makabayan, Makatao at Makakailikasan. As of SY 2001-2002, the teacher-student ratio was 1:31. |
