Brief Historical Background of the
Muntinlupa National High School
(MNHS)


Situated on a 10.5-hectare lot, the MNHS is located in the northern side of the New Bilibid Prisons Reservation area of the city. The MNHS was established in 1945 to accomodate prison officials' and employees' high school age children and dependents that cannot afford to go to other high schools. Years later, it began to accept enrollees from nearby barangays and even from other neighbouring towns of Muntinlupa. It
became a National High School on January 1, 1978. this School-of-the Future is committed to further improve its supervisory and instructional techniques in order to provide quality education, community involvement and equal opportunities for all deserving students. The school is also tasked to produce God-fearing, disciplined, technology-oriented individuals who will become the future active participants in nation building. as of SY 2001-2002, the teacher-student ratio was 1:32 (Website at:
