Climate Despite being located along the equator, Uganda has a mild, equable climate, mainly because of its relatively high altitude. The temperature ranges from about 16� to 29� C (about 60� to 85� F). The average annual rainfall varies from some 760 mm (some 30 in) in the northeast to about 1520 mm (about 60 in) near Lake Victoria.
