definition: a bus network consist of a single central cable (backbone/trunk), to which all computers and other devices connects (nodes).

 .the bus is a physical cable that connects the computers and other devices


  .each devices is connected to the single bus cable through the T-Connector
  .a terminator is required at each end of the bus cable to prevent the signal from bouncing back

advantages
  1. failure on one device do not effect the rest devices
  2. bus network are inexpensive and easy to install
disadvantages
  1. it is difficult to identify the problem if the entire network shut down
