It is pleasure for welcoming you to see my website. Here, I am providing an introduction about myself, hoping you can get a brief information, especially regarding my education and research.
I was born and growth in Bukittingi, a beautiful small town 90 km near Padang capital city of West Sumatra Province, Indonesia. I received my BSc and Pharmacist degree from Universitas Andalas (UNAND) Padang in 1998. After graduating my bachelor degree, I continued to study at Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and awarded MSc degree in 2001. Since 2001, I pursued doctorate degree in Department of Bioprocess Engineering, Faculty of Chemical and Natural Resources Engineering and awarded a PhD in 2005.
I am interested in studying natural product chemistry, because my country is known to have abundant source of medicinal plants. In my PhD project, I carried out in vitro antidiabetic effect of a plant of kayu manis (Cinnamomum zeylanicum). I used adipose cell to evaluate its andiabetic.
I married with two sons, Naufal and Luthfi. |
